Guest guest
Does anyone eat or drink goji berries? me, me, me love them! I usually eat the whole berry. I like to dip my banana in them, good combo. A while back I got some Goji berry juice and it is supposed to be a supplement, but I could have drunk (drank?) it like a beverage! It was good!!! But way over priced. Guest guest
Greetings, I purchased an 18 oz bag of organic dried goji berries from eatraw a couple of months ago and still have quite a bit left since I eat the goji berries only a couple of times a week and usually by the small handful or dropped into my sipping water (they soften and slightly plump in the water). I find them chewier than but less sweet than raisins - the flavor is delicious and heartier than most dried fruits I've sampled. I haven't yet tried them fresh or in juice form. I feel that that are a bit pricey but I consider them a treat and a fine one at that - Regards, Holly From: Suzanne <suziesgoats@...> Date: Thu May 5, 2005 5:52 pm Subject: goji berries suziesgoats Does anyone eat or drink goji berries? Guest guest
I would really like to know if anyone finds any fresh goji berries. They come from Tibet and I've not known of many fresh fruits or berries coming out of Tibet! Shari
Guest guest
You can get it cheaper and closer (IF you live in the US). Do a web search for Wolfe and his site sells it. Shari I live in Australia that's why I looked here but it quoted US dollars so must be imported. Don't really have much money to spend on things like that anyway :-) Thanks anyway Tracey No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. Guest guest
Hi a friend sent me a bottle of Goji Juice some time back. He didn't tell me that it was going to cost $60 for one bottle plus postage. He just said he had something to help me. It was after I got it that I found I had to pay for it. I didn't even know what it would do at the time. Anyhow within a week I had the most awful diarrhea. He didn't warn me that it was going to detox me. I wish I had known.. It took me a few days to recover and I haven't tried it since. I had awful haemorrhoids and could hardly sit down for a couple of days as well as feeling quite ill. So be careful if you are drinking the juice at first. And back off to recover as soon as you feel the effects of the detox. Then go back on it again. I haven't had the guts to do that yet. He sells it MLM so I guess he wanted to be one of his .. is it 'down lines' or 'up lines'? Another friend sent me a bottle of Dr Wallach's Cheri-Mins a couple of years before that, also without telling me it was going to detox. Well, that was my first experience of the toilet becoming my favorite room doubled over in agony and gingerly sitting down. Why don't they warn people? All I was told was that it was healthy choc-a-block minerals to do me good. Another MLM thingy. I hate that. I would rather buy things direct from a health food shop if I was going to do that. I don't want to have to sell to my friends like that. It's intruding on their good nature isn't it? The goji DOES taste delicious though. I enjoyed it .... at first. Guest guest
Somewhere I read that the two are not the same.... but that goji is sometimes referred to as wolfberries. SuziShari Viger <shavig@...> wrote: My co-op sells Wolfberries and they look and taste just like goji berries but someone told me they are dried at a higher temperature and are not organic, whereas goji are "raw" and organic. Guest guest
wolfberries is the other name, but it is a different berry and not as rich in minerals as the goji. Shari
