Almond Bars - The Hippocrates Diet, by Ann Wigmore.- 2 cups dried figs, unsoaked- 1 cup grated coconut- 1 TBS. raw honey- 1 tsp. natural vanilla extract- 1/2 cu shelled whole raw almondsGrind figs in wheatgrass juicer, or chop them fine with a knife. Mix with coconut, honey, and vanilla. Place whole almonds along the top of each bar and chill in refrigerator for a half hour before serving. Leftover bars will keep for another day in the refrigerator.

Almond Bars - Living Foods for Optimal Health, by Clement.- 1/4 cup maple syrup- 2 TBS. arrowroot powder- 2 cups soaked and sprouted almondsMix the maple syrup and arrowroot powder until thick. Place sprouted almonds in a blender and chop into tiny pieces. Add almonds to maple syrup mixture and form into bars on parchment paper. Place in the freezer for at least 1 hour before serving.
