Guest guest
ROFL.. yes.... Motherwort works on hot flashes... the female formulas in the files.. and a more raw diet.... along with complete tonic (I believe it helps also)... either or both the female formula and the menopausal formula. Oh, and some time for yourself to relax... like a hot bath at nite.. Guest guest
I have been vegan for 14 years and about 95% raw for six. One day about 4 years ago I realized I hadn't had a period in I don't know how long. That was it, I was through menopause. I've never had a hot flash and mood swings - who knows?! But my moods were any swingier than they had been! The only thing I've noticed is my skin is a little drier and my hair a lot thinner. But hey, from what I hear I'll keep the dry and thin over bitchy and hot. Many women like the natural progesterone creams, though. Guest guest
Hey Shari That's great :-) just the way it is mean't to be. Women weren't and aren't mean't to suffer with their monthly's or menopause. It is a natural stage in life not an illness that needs treating. Blessings Tracey No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. Guest guest
Sorry Kathy... from the How to files Tinctures:A tincture is an herbal rememdy that is made utilizing alcohol. Usually 100 proof or 50% vodka is used. It is recommended that you use Everclear (which is 192 proof or 96% alcohol) for roots, barks, seeds and woody herbs as it is much stronger. You can use if for flowers and leaves too if you wish. Tinctures are made by placing your fresh herb material into a blender and covering with alcohol and blending on high for a minute or two. Then pour into a sealable glass jar and store it for several weeks making sure to shake it several times a day. The more plant material you use the stronger your tincture will be. If you are using dried or powdered herbs you can just place them into the jar and fill with alcohol, cap and store for two weeks. You can let your tincture stand longer than two weeks and it will become more potent. The longer it sits the more potent it will become. After about 6 months your tincture will most likely be at its strongest and you won't achieve much more by leaving it longer. Always remember to stir or shake your tincture daily or several times a day. This helps to ensure maximum extraction of all the herb. The proper time to make a tincture is on the New Moon. Then strain it on the Full Moon. This will also add to the pulling power of the alcohol in extracting the healing properties of the plant/plants used. If you are tincturing woody material make sure you have powdered it up before hand otherwise you won't have much of a tincture no matter how long you leave it.Tinctures can also be made using raw organic apple cider vinegar or vegetable glycerine. However, glycerine is the least effective of the three methods and works the slowest in the body. Using alcohol is the best method with apple cider vinegar taking second. Both of these methods make the active bio-components of the plant available to your body almost immediately. Glycerine takes longer as it is much more viscous. Too bad once again, we have been sold a bill of goods that crap! Some days I get so nuts over the brainwashing of the public. Shari
Guest guest
After not having had a period for a good year and a half, and realizing one day I was through with menopause and "what's the big deal?", I started getting horrible night sweats and hot flashes. From this forum I learned about motherwort and started using the tincture several times a day. The night sweats and hot flashes diminished down to warm flushes (not uncomfortable at all, although I may throw off the covers for a minute or two) and I've pretty much cut my intake of the tincture down to just when I need it. Haven't had any in a good while. And now haven't had a period in over two years, so am well and truly DONE!<G> BTW, I'm not vegan, ate 95% raw for a year then wonkled on that and am trying to get back to it. I felt lots healthier then than I do now! Sharyn, at the ripe old age of 52.5 From: health [mailto:health ] On Behalf Of Shari Viger I have been vegan for 14 years and about 95% raw for six. Guest guest
Kathy If it is in powder form or leaves, flowers, (not sticks or bark)..you don't need a blender... and you can use apple cider vinegar instead of alcohol for this one. Does this help? suzi Kathy L <angeldestiny@...> wrote: I don't have a blender and we do not have any alcohol in the house. I am also afraid I would poison myself not knowing what I am doing......lol.
