chemical sensitivity and new houses

My stepmother died, and I was going to move into that house with my

stepsister, but after spending the night there and getting a terrible

migraine I am rethinking that move. I do have chemical sensitivities

and new buildings make me ill; this house is 5 years old. She is

wondering about air purifiers. I am thinking moving there will be a

big mistake, especially since my health is so much better living here

in ja 30 year old mobil with old carpets and paint and everything.

I guess I'm asking for opinions; what do you all think? Before I

lived here, 5 years now, I lived in a 10 year old home and the MS

progressed to the point where a wheelchair was looking good and I was

diagnosed with fibromyalgia only because that classification fit

whatever was going wrong. I have concluded that it is the chemical

oozing out from the walls and floors and all that make me ill. (As

well as what goes in me)

Thanks, Janelle

Well, first, I would stay or move where I was most comfortable. And if you know it is the chemicals in the newer homes that you are allergic to then I would not move. Why make yourself miserable if you don't have to? Just my two cents.

Thanks Suzi -- I had already made my decision, but

wanted some backup in case my stepsister was making a

fuss (trying to be gentle, as she and her mom were

almost best friends; also being certain that I am not

willing or able to fill that need). Fortunately, Jill

is not willing to be a cause of me getting sicker and

I think is going to do some much-needed growing up (in

wisdom and learning).

Besides, I really like living with only my cat.
