The obvious first comment is that there are a LOT of ingredients. This makes for a lot to evaluate, and for some people a lot to be reactive to. ALA: the standard/usual issues with dose and " every 3 hours " apply. EDTA: good for clearing out cholesterol for arteries; not good for clearing out mercury. chlorella: has been cited for causing negative reactions in mercury-toxic adults (by Hal Huggins and Andy Cutler and others.) clay (the first ingredient): I'm not familiar with this TYPE of clay, but have taken bentonite (another type of clay) many times. I want to be careful in saying that the clay they are using is unknown to me, so I do NOT know if it is " okay " . Bentonite is generally used for " colon detox " . It can be somewhat constipating, and should be taken with LOTS of water. I do not know if these consideration apply to this other clay, but it does seem likely. Of course, I also don't know how MUCH clay is involved here. If the product is in capsules (which I think it is), I doubt there is enough clay involved to even bother about. (no big deal one way or the other?) garlic: okay for people who are low to normal sulfur--- difficult for people who are high sulfur. I think this comment also applies to the l-cysteine, but I'm not sure. viatmin C: good stuff I would suggest keeping track of how much C you are taking if you use this stuff, and adjust dosage of other C supplements. Unless you are taking a LOT of these pills (the product) the amount is probably not too much--- although there IS a " too much " with C--- it is quite a lot usually. enzymes: interesting that they are including these in the chelation formula. other ingredients (irish moss, l-lysine, l-methionine, sodium alginate, TMG): no comment from me, as I don't know about these. Although I do think the prior comment that it is a lot of stuff to evaluate holds. For example, someone might not want to give/take one or two specific ingredients out of all this. Final comment: ALA and EDTA are the ingredients included which I consider to be chelation agents (although EDTA is not a good chelator of mercury). Dose issues and dose timing issues apply. best wishes, Moria p.s. I hope you don't want comments on the ingredients in the " age less " thing also LOL!!! Now THAT is a long list! Whew! Guest guest
It's about throwing a bunch of trendy stuff in a pill, making up hype and selling lots of it. Due to the copper and alpha lipoic acid it is 100% contraindicated in autistics. If that was left out it wouldn't be a bad multivitamin for low sulfur people. The formula with copper in it and the " chelation " forumla are two different formulas. Guest guest
Hello Everyone, I hope that everyone is having a great Monday. I am sending a site out that I came across. It has a lot of articles for our concideration. I'm not sure if this site has been noted before but felt it might be of interest to the group. It is the Organic Consumer website. http://www.organicconsumers.org/ Having read a couple of the articles, I found them to be thought provoking.
