Guest guest
Hello, all – My teenager stepped in a hole while walking across a school yard last night in the dark. She had to be carried to her room, where she did put ice on the ankle. I took her to the emergency room this afternoon because I thought the ankle was broken. Turns out it is a very, very bad sprain. The ankle is 3-4 times normal due to swelling and has been elevated all evening with an ice pack on it. It is black and blue – literally. More black than anything. It’s terribly painful. The ER put the ankle in an air cast and the kid is on crutches but in enough pain she’s not moving from the recliner. The doc prescribed Ibuprofen for the pain. I am going to start searching the group archives now, but does anyone have any suggestions? I believe I should be treating the ligaments and the tissue with something. I would like to see her heal from this as quickly as possible with as few side effects as possible. (I read an article not long ago about a tissue repair oil that was a blend of Lemon grass oil, marjoram oil and Idaho balsam pine oil. I have the lemon and marjoram oil but hadn’t found the pine oil yet) I’ve got things like Colloidal Silver, Echinacea, fish oil, all kinds of herbal teas, garlic and Ester C in the house, also organic ACV, organic olive oil. Thanks! L.
