My salsa is:

toms

onion

cilantro

garlic

jalapenos (or any other fresh hot pepper)

and..........................................

mint

The mint seems to offset and/or compliment the peppers.

Have no idea what you are talking about Carol, but here's what I put in the recipe:

tomatoes

cilantro

onion

jalapenos

mint

lime juice

And yes, it is more pico degallo (sp) more than salsa only in that salsa has cooked ingredients and none of my recipes have anything cooked. It's so good! I'm hungry and I don't have the ingredients, dang!!! Come on garden...........

Since ours is made for heat, not just nutrition and

flavour, I like to add about a teaspoon of EVOO to the

batch. It prolongs the burn. Oh yeah!!!!!!

Peace, love, laughter
