Never thought of celery. It would definitely give it a

peppery taste. We just made a batch of our salsa, so

will have to wait till next time to try it.

Celery is a natural form of sodium and no "hint" of pepper to my taste buds. Actually, with my salsa I have basic way of doing it, but then if there is something that needs to be used up, it may be included too. It's like: gotta it, use it from the refrigerator and call it salsa if you can give it a zing.
