Guest guest
Suzi, Marinara: soak sun dried tomatoes in blender, pulsing only (turning on/off) add: tomatoe tomato garlic onion (opt) fresh basil/oregano pinch cayenne litle of tomato water to start the blending process Use on salads, in pastas or even grains. Can place on cracker, add fresh veggies on top of sauce and call it "pizza." ============== I like it pulpy vs. smooth. Quantities vary so you judge. I love making "natural" ice cream as Suzi shared. I also have become in love with my Tribest Personal Blender. It makes the best, quickest, nutritious smoothies. I understand you can also add ice to this nifty new appliance. I have used it for dressings, salsa as well. Just playing with it still, but its neat. No kidding even my marinara sauce comes out great. Easy to clean. Feel like I'm an "unpaid" commercial, but I love it enough to brag about it here. IWhen I do classes I'm going to start plugging it not just because I sell it too, but it's just so handy. I've even made raw soups this way. I mainly live a raw food lifestyle so i know what easy means! Glad to share. My recipe for marinara coming now. Guest guest
Suzi, This recipe is so versatile. If people want to give it a Mexican flaire, of course adidng cilantro and MX herbs would give it that ability removing the basil/oregano which relates to Italiano all the way. Glad to share with our "family" here. I have reaped so many benefits in the short amount of time with everyone. Off topic...but didn't want to start new note...(bunion): Since using those silly, cheap, $1 special flip / flops that separate the large toe from the rest of its 4 members, "pain free." Tommorrow is my great interview (Whole Foods Store Marketing Director (new store opening)so wearing a pretty, slendering pant suit so flats will be perfect as that's all I own anyway. I can't wear the flip flops into the interview but till the moment I get there as soon as I get back to the car. I always walked around barefoot, but maybe wearing my same shoes that grabbed me across the bunion area may have been the culprit. Now I'm into "more" opened shoes. Summer is here so no problem, but not thinking for winter ever coming back or I have to rethink type of shoes again. Perhaps at W.Foods I may have to wear closed shoes, but will see what comes of this job first. Skip is right...lots of protective stuff I can buy (tapes). that I can use. Will keep the "bunion" talk updated. Thanks. Can't wait to start planting garden today. carol
