Toni,

Yes, yes, join Costco. Sams club may be good, but I can only speak for Costo as member.

Costco membership well worth it to me:

$3.49 pound, plastic tub, organic spring greens each time at Costco vs. $7.99 pound, or sometimes $5.99 health food store...immediately saves me by buying at Costco. Ii can eat close to a pound a day on my own.

Also I heard, at least locally, Cosco is trying to do a push for more fresh organics. Also they have great prices on frozen organic berries in large bags...well worth it too...check on Target Superstores as they have organics....at one point I bought my organic celery there and cheaper than the health food store too.

Besides buying in bulk, and their fabulous warranty (save receipt and it's amost lifeless) they have members benefits. I saved myself $400 after I found a car I loved, new has to be, and when I went back to the dealership for purchasing my $45 yearly membershp paid off.

They have other great benefits, but my recent experiences.

They have great looking produce, but mostly not organic so have to wash with soapy water, rinse with vinegar, etc. I was told other day but a consumer, but mainly I shop for organics.

Farmers Market:

Sounds like a tiny one in your area...here 10-15,000 weekly....Boulder, CO.

You can look online for Farmers Markets USA I assume for locations of where you can find some. May call Extension Service part of the University there too. I know transportation hugh factor in getting to these places, but in pricey Boulder, you can walk. Lots of local farmer's markets and none really tiny either. We are lucky, but it may be there for you too.

Have you been to Whole Foods Market? wholefoodsmarket.com

An experience, but not a farmers market. wildoats.com another chain....

Hi all,

To the members here that belong to Costco, do you feel it is worth the membership fee? It is amazing that I am in New Jersey and with all the congestion and whatnot, I cannot find a decent health food store or market.

Costco has great produce and fruit at

prices much cheaper than a regular grocery store. I buy the organic greens all the

time. I also found organic milk

there this weekend. First time I have

ever seen it there and it is the Kirkland brand (Costco brand) so it will be around for awhile. 3 half-gallon cartons

on one large box for $6.99.

I don’t drink milk but have been buying organic milk for the rest of

the family, and at Wild Oats a half-gallon is $4.

I also have the Executive membership which

nets me a percentage of all sales returned to me in a check at the end of the

year.
