I'm afraid your tincture should be pitched... (My opinion)... from all I've read.. most say it's poisonous... or the plant can cause dermatitis.. however, one source said the root is diaphoretic and vulnerary

On the bright side it attracts hummingbirds..

What is a weed? A plant whose virtues have not yet been discovered.

pitched is "throw out" .. I could not find info on how the indians used it.. I am assuming it was the root... but fresh or dry I can't seem to find. I would be very careful with it.
