it really depends on what she wants the massage to accomplish... is it for

relaxation, or for pain relief, or a " sensuous massage' or????

well, you couldn't have a recipe with essential oils that is unscented,

after all...

for a massage base, my favorite carrier oil is Fractionated Coconut oil...a

nice balance between absorbancy and 'slip' (an oil that is absorbed too

fast disappears before you are done massaging...)...and it washes right out

of linens, towels, etc.

I like fractionated coconut, sweet almond in equal but greater amounts +

jojoba and aloe vera oil in equal amounts. You could substitute aloe vera

oil with avocado oil.

A 2/1 balance. 1 cup of the first 2 oils and 1/ cup of the second group of

oils. You can add essential oils if you like.

okay... but first you are going to have to decide what you want (or THEY

want) the massage to accomplish.

is it for lymphatic drainage? for sore muscles? for general stress relief?

what essential oils you'll use vary by the purpose.

I am looking for stress relief and sore muscles.

Actually, I just need to know what I can use for a

base, and I can do the additives on my own... so any

hints on what kind of carrier oil to use would be

awesome!

Thanks

I like to use grapeseed oil as a carrier for my massage oils. A combo I

like that works both for stress and sore muscles is bitter orange,

wintergreen (careful not to use too much), and lavender. I get requests

for it all of the time. Hope this helps and have a great day.
