Guest guest
I use this recipe - it's fairly simple and the lotion/cream is pretty nice. You can use whatever oil or combination of oils that you'd like. A touch of shea butter in this makes for a great face cream! Standard Base Lotion Recipe- ..5 oz. emulsifying wax 2 oz. infused vegetable oil (grapeseed or sweet almond are nice light oils) ..5 oz. vegetable glycerin 4.5 oz. distilled water 20-30 drops essential oils (lavender is very nice, try combining it with peppermint, sandalwood or ylang ylang) Directions: Weigh out ingredients......combine the wax, oil and glycerin and heat until melted, don't over heat...let cool to around 110 degrees. Warm the water slightly if not room temperature and slowly pour the water into the cooled oils while blending with a stick blender or whisking like crazy....blend for about 2 minutes, let cool and add your essential oils, whip some more. Let the lotion sit until completely room temperature then blend some more before pouring into containers. If you are pouring into lotion containers, you may want to pour the lotion when it is still slightly warm before it thickens more. Add phase B materials to phase A mixture.Mix with electric mixer until cream base is smooth and creamy.Blend phase C materials in separate clean, sterile, stainless steel bowl until completely dissolved. Add to phase A & B mixture. Mix with electric mixer until completely blended. Use a small amount of baking soda dissolved in hot distilled water to adjust the product pH (adding soda may thicken the cream a bit). Add soda & water mixture 1/2 teaspoon at a time, mix well and let the product sit for a few minutes before testing the pH with indicator strips. Repeat this step until your product has achieved a pH level of 6-6.5. jinajuiliano@... wrote: Do we have an recipe for Vitamin C face cream I am running out and want to try making my own and putting more C in it that what I normally buy and besides I want to try and start being self suffienct even if I do live in a over-abundant city.
