OK....I was just looking in my "Healing with Whole Foods" and EFA deficiency can be a cause in forming gallstones.

Foods to include (when you're feeling like eating again) unrefined grains, veggies, fruits, legumes. Foods for stone dissolving...pears, parsnips, radishes, seaweeds, lemons, limes and the spice turmeric. Flax oil should be taken six days a week for 2 months...5 tsps cold pressed poured over food at one meal or split the amount between two meals.

This gradual method is the appropriate method if there are large stones.
