It is truly amazing when I hear people say they could never give up certain foods, especially when they are sick, but I think the key words are "giving up". I think the only time people are successful is when they think in terms of *changing* their diet, rather than *depriving* themselves of something. I know I'd hate to walk around feeling deprived all the time. Getting people to eat for their health requires a whole new mindset about food on their part. When they feel they *can't* eat this or *can't* eat that anymore it is too overwhelming. I see that all the time with people who are on diets to lose weight. They live for the day when they can get back to eating like they did before. And we all know that doesn't work and they end up back in the same boat.
