Guest guest
My aunt had a yeast infection for four years and syas the only way she got rid of it was with yogurt douching. You could also try femdophilous...kind of newer probiotic for women with strains that are particular for vag. They sell it at whole foods, but I buy it over the internet since its cheaper. is candidiasis@...: ploureiro78@...: Tue, 1 Apr 2008 15:43:24 +0000Subject: Question - how to get those lactobacillus (Doderlein) back to my vagina? Hello all!I've just signed in to this group today.Last september I got an infection in my vagina and was treated for it with antibiotics, but after that I have not been able to get lactobacilus back in the vaginal flora.I read that these help prevent candida and other vaginal infections, but I haven't found a way to populate the vagina with these bacillus.I've read that I should eat yogurt. My doctor told me that too and I have been eating it but without results. Some sites mention actually applying yogurt or kefir directly inside the vagina with a syringe (no needle, of course).Does any of you know such method or has used it before?Any other advice? Thanks,(Portugal)
Guest guest
Yes, GP¹s will sometimes suggest patients try squirting acidophilus into the vagina to try to combat thrush on 2/4/08 4:43 AM, ploureiro78 at ploureiro78@... wrote: > > > > Hello all! > > I've just signed in to this group today. > > Last september I got an infection in my vagina and was treated for it with > antibiotics, but after that I have not been able to get lactobacilus back in > the vaginal flora. > > I read that these help prevent candida and other vaginal infections, but I > haven't found a way to populate the vagina with these bacillus. > > I've read that I should eat yogurt. Guest guest
I searched google for that product and it sounds really interesting. I will try to look for femdophilous in that sort of stores, although I wonder if they have it here in Portugal. Can you tell me which sites you use to buy it online? Guest guest
Hi , I have the same issue and my ND has recommended: http://www.rockwellnutrition.com/product.asp?itemid=1010 She says that this product has the best strains that are what are needed for women. I haven't tried it yet, but instead plan to use " Yeast Arrest " for a month first to clean out any yeast that is there. Then, I'll use the Candaclear. I've had long-term yeast issues so I want to be sure the yeast is NOT in control. What kind of yogurt are you using? Does it have added sugar? Most supermarket yogurts are considered junk since they have tons of added sugar, equalling 25 grams or more. You're best bet is to use plain yogurt. ----- Original Message ---- From: ploureiro78 ploureiro78@... Hello all! I've just signed in to this group today.
