Guest guest
nuts and seeds are ok. 3 fruits ok and will not feed candida: cranberries, lemons and black currant (think black currant). young *cultured* cocnut milk is probiotic and a big plus--yes cultured is great. only 4 grains that are more like seeds, they are low or no sugar though high in carbs, are safe on candida diet: quinoa, millet, amaranth and buckwheat. Cultured dairy is great, very probiotic. I do not recommend store-bought products, they are still way too sweet. I culture my milk myself with Primal Defense (get on iherb.com for besty price). Pop the tabs right in the bottle, let it sit for 24 hours room temp in winter, 12 hours in summer. [2 tabs per 1/2 gallon.] When product begins to separate into curds and whey, the lactose is used up. Oh, if you use too much starter, or let it go for too long; or use raw or non-homoginized [sp] milk, it will ultimately get fizzy and ever so slightly alcoholic, well, like kambucha I think... Louise *raw veges great--do low carb ones; cheese is great recommend from PA raw, organic and celtic salted guilt free; I do meat and fish too. spices make the food palatable, I do raw salt.. hope this helps.. *a lot of my info comes from a friend going for her ND, some of whose info comes from the Body Ecology diet; also info and the nutritionist who diagnosed my candida prob.. > >From: silver.renaissance <silver.renaissance @... > > Subject: New to Group > > candidiasis > > Received: Tuesday, 23 December, 2008, 8:04 PM > > > > Hi, I'm Cortnie. and I've been having candida problems off and on for nearly a year > > > > Different sources online have confused me about what is and is not > > acceptable to eat.
