Guest guest
Candida is always in your body - it's the overgrowth that causes problems. You might want to supplement with biotin - biotin stops yeast cells from taking on different forms that makes it harder for the body to kill naturally. I'm taking 600 mcg/day, but some go as high as 5 mg in divided doses throughout the day. It has worked really well for me as well as my 4yo. So it will never be 100% gone. In fact, I have read it serves some good purpose when it is merely part of the whole community of GI flora. Can't remember the source for that, but there must be some reason all humans apparently have some level of candida in the gut. If you are susceptible to candida overgrowth, it will always come back to problem levels if you feed it what it loves. Thus you went back to your old diet and the candida blossomed up to a problem level again. sol
Guest guest
You can never rid your body completely of candida because it's normally there. What you are trying to do is keep it in balance and fight back from overgrowth. In addition to being prone for candida overgrowth, you may just have a body type that does better on low carb. I know this is the case for me. Luv, Debby in San , CA 147 lbs lost! Guest guest
One of the big reasons for candida overgrowth that keeps returning is heavy metal toxicity, especially mercury. If you'd like to learn more, buy No Amalgam book by Andy Cutler. He's a PhD from Harvard that had to go through this. There is extensive study and research that went through this. http://www.noamalgam.com/ There's also a chelation group that uses his protocol to eliminate mercury and other toxic metals. This is one of them: frequent-dose-chelation I just had my 4yo son's hair tested for metals, and it did show high mercury and other metals. He did have candida issues that I addressed. If you do decide to get your hair tested, then buy Cutler's book on analyzing the test. I'm about to buy it as I didn't really expect anything to show up on his hair test. Guest guest
I use coconut oil for my mouth when I get an over-growth. I'm certified for biological testing of ionization and when I have a high saliva pH the Candida is out of control. Coconut oil has been great to get the Candida back under control, as well as cutting back on sugars and starches for a while and increase my water intake. I've used colloidal silver in the past too. Guest guest
Two big reasons mercury remains an issue in people are: 1) not enough glutathione precursors (whey and selenium) to get the toxin out naturally. 2) carbs and beans in the diet. Beans contain two sugars that feed specific bacteria that exude sulfides that can fix bacteria destined for purging back into the bowel lining. Guest guest
Please allow me to correct the following; here's the new version: 2) carbs and beans in the diet. Beans contain two sugars that feed specific bacteria that exude sulfides that can fix MERCURY destined for purging back into the bowel lining. Guest guest
What is the brand of coconut oil? How do you take it? How much? How often? For how long a period of time?
