Guest guest
Multi, there are immunoglubulins in undenatured whey as well, so many people are benefitting from the treatment without taking the Ig separately The whey works for fatigue as well. Guest guest
Hi Vicky, I've had cfs for 17 years, since getting glandular fever. Had different antibiotic courses over time, read about candida in 1996 (Leon Chaitow book) and it seemed everything to boil down to it. In 1997 found a great nutritionist who could see candida, mineral/vitamin deficiencies and intolerances with a vega test machine. On her anti-candida strict diet + supplementary regime I had an almost total remission of symptoms for 2 years. Then I lapsed on diet, overdid things, she moved abroad and could not find anybody similar using her diagnostic/treating method. On re-introducing all foods I've put on a lot of weight (which i had lost no effort on the diet). Then explored the heavy metal issue and through a hair found I have chronic mercury poisoning (removed my silver fillings) and almost all people with Hg have candida overgrowth: apparently it acts as some kind of shield between mercury and the fatty linings of the intestines (Hg has an affinity for fat). So I'm detoxing from Hg now, which brings on more candida due to the moving around of the metal (increased oxidation) . I'm currently taking Candex, Culturelle and another probiotic (50 billions live cells), but not so strict on diet as very apathetic atm. I'm new to group, so sorry if the topic has been discussed before. Most people with cfs have viral issues too (like myself) probably due to inhibited/overactive immune system, some have fibromialgia with it or other. Best wishes, Barbara In candidiasis , " multitoed " <whimwham@...> wrote: > > Thought I would post about some things that might be of interest: > > I found an abstract online about a CFS and leaky gut study where a > girl totally recovered from treatment. Guest guest
Hi and thank you for all the information. I'm have fibromyalgia and psoriatic arthritis and have suffered from candida. I have a number of food sensitivities as well. Too much to list, truthfully. At times I lose my happy outlook but I have learned to live with it all. Nonetheless I have decided to try and figure out what I can do to improve my daily life. I believe my " journey " started a lonnnnng time ago when I was five years old and had a terrible ear infection in both ears for quite a while. The doctor ended up telling my mother that he " could not in good conscience prescribe anymore antibiotics " , that my body would simply have to fight the infection itself. My mother said one night she rocked me literally all night long while I cried and screamed and suffered while the infection burst in both ears. Following that I spent several years living overseas and had about a three year period where I was prescribed several rounds of antiobiotics for strep throat. I just couldn't keep the bugs away. I understand birth control pills also help create the environment for candida to get out of control. I took those for about five years and had to go off them. I'm presently looking into alkalinizing my life. I have bought some barley grass, alkalinizing drops for water and since I cannot tolerate NSIDs, I am trying an online non-prescription anti-inflammtory. I dearly do not want to take humira (for the psoriatic arthritis), as the doc recommended, but might cave into it pretty soon. I'd like to try the Braggs Vinegar recipe you mentioned but I have Braggs and found out that one of my food sensitivities is to apples! *sigh* Nonetheless, thanks for mentioning it. A nurse friend of mine believes all our health issues begin in the gut and that once we get that fixed that many of the food sensitivities we have will go away as well. She is the person that started me seriously thinking about having a more alkaline body. > > Thought I would post about some things that might be of interest: > > I found an abstract online about a CFS and leaky gut study where a > girl totally recovered from treatment. Guest guest
Just squeezing a fresh lemon into water will also have an alkalizing effect. Cheap and easy! Guest guest
I think that depends on the price of lemons, LOL. They are NOT cheap here! sol Buddy A. Guest guest
The body maintains a very tight control on blood pH within a very narrow range through homeostasis. If your blood pH changes to something outside that range, you are dead. Anyone who talks about acidic/alkaline blood pH has not studied physiology or has gotten some wrong information. That being said, I agree with Duncan that using whole lemons in moderation is OK, or juicing in such a way that you get a lot of pulp. Luv, Debby in San , CA 147 lbs lost! Guest guest
Thanks... I'll have to buy some lemons! > > Just squeezing a fresh lemon into water will also have an alkalizing > effect. Cheap and easy! > > Buddy
Guest guest
beware on the cranberries and lemons. both are quite acidic (which is why they can be eating on candida diet) but if you have problems w/ acid reflux...watch out. go it slow.. i had major problems w/ both. maybe once the candida is cleared up then the acid reflux will get better two- or maybe they are two different issues.but either way keep that in mind.
