Guest guest
Duncan is right on alkaline-forming. Acid-based is from too much meat, dairy and grains (could I venture to say, unproperly cultured dairy; should not replace raw veges etc components of balanced diet..).. antibiotics kill the " bugs " in the gut, both good and bad. Too much antibiotic use is also a way to encourage the wrong kind of candida growth. (Been there, done that..) Primal Defense by Garden of Life, best price on iherb.com is best probiotic on market I have found.. Epsom salt is used as a diuretic [sp]; that is, to cleanse the GI system..(It's right on the package label...) I had a gut bug for 11 days that gave me the runs. Nightmare. MD said can't do a thing for it, be gone in 7 days.. Well 11 days later I thought to go to Whole Foods. Bought some charcoal caplets. Lady at cash register heard my plight ( I felt half dead) and said " Put a tablespoon of Epsom salt in a cup of water and dissolve it, chug it and your body will rid itself of that bug!!!!!! " Well, I did what she said--do not repeat do not do this if you have to be anywhere because you *will* be in the bathroom for a minimum of 2 hours. Could take hours more depending on your system. But your body *will* clease itself this way. Then of course you need to also megadose on your acidopholis [sp]. like Primal Defense 'cause that got flushed out too. Recommend using Epsom salt in a worst-case scenario; but boy, it helped save my life!!! Dried juice of young barley plants (Just Barley found on iherb.com for best price and lowest heat dying I have found) is a great standby for active people who need veges/ways to alkalyze [sp] the system. NB: Ease into these, they *will* detox your system especially when taken on an empty stomach!! [Take Primal Defense on empty tummy too...] Louise Artz, yes, the diet we use on this list is alkaline-forming and I have no doubt it helps. Duncan > > I have suffered from candida. Guest guest
, Primal Defense containd bacillus licheniformis, which is associated with cancer. It's kind of creepy that people will use it at all. Duncan > > > > I have suffered from candida. Guest guest
Duncan -- THANKS for your reply and for the info on the alkaline diet. I'll do a search to find it. -- by bugs in the gut, do you mean something akin to parasites. bad gut bugs, or do you mean a flu bug??? Thanks for the info on Epsom salts, but I'm not really understanding what you used it for though it sounds like something quite beneficial. I have wondered if I have some kind of parasite problem and if that is contributing to my health problems... fibromyalgia, candida and Psoriatic arthritis... right now I feel a bit overwhelmed. Got the last diagnosis recently and I'm trying to determine whether or not to go on humira (some dangerous potential side effects). Thanks for any further info. > > > > > > I have suffered from candida.
