As much as I don't "love" vets we may have to use them.

I agree...we have to know when their knowledge is helpful and when we would rather go it alone. In this case...the cat barely eating, possibly worms and parasites, I'd say the vet is going to be able to diagnose it much faster than you playing a guessing game and stressing out. It's up to us if we want to take their meds or advice, but at least go for a diagnosis from someone who has experience dealing with this stuff.

I'm barging in on middle of conversation. As much as I don't "love" vets we may have to use them. Tone, any friends/family that can help you out. Some people even buy carriers from pet store and return them for that type of emergency. I never used a crate, but I have only had dogs.

Sometimes we have to remove our selfish self, not saying you are, and think of the animal. I did that with the animals I had to put down. It was hard, but no guilt except that one time only I was not there when they gave the dog the shot and he was put to sleep...never again...live and learn..

Too bad I never had your number to call and encourage you.
