Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I feel like I ought to know what to do about this, having had fungal issues so long..... A practitioner who is treating me from across the country did some energy testing and said that my body is too alkaline. I don't recall what the appropriate thing to do for this would be. I'm so used to the notion of being too acidic. He didn't recommend anything per se. No, I haven't been a vegetarian or anything close. I recall that fungus can render the places in the body that need to be acidic too alkaline, e.g. I do have low stomach acid. FYI, I am on his leaky gut diet which is meat and non-starchy veggies and some fat. (I wish I had been overweight, because this regimen causes weight loss, and I'm already too skinny. He said to just put up with it.) Thanks for your help. Ruth
Guest guest
Hi Ruth I don’t eat chicken for about 4 years now because I used to vomit after eating it or other fatty foods so I gave it up and I eat meat seldom because it’s expensive and I’ve just finished my studies so you can imagine how expensive eating the right foods can be for someone who not even at the middle class on the society. I used to get swollen fingers and toes but the Dr (s) couldn’t find the problem with me then I thought maybe I’m allergic to the sun and started to get inflammation around the groin and between the thighs then I thought it was what I had when I was a kid which was never said what it was but my mom used to tell me about me scratching my self day and night between my thighs. Now I’ve had headaches for almost a year and the doctors kept on telling me its “stress” and then I had almost all the Candida symptoms which to me were something I couldn’t explain I even felt like killing myself and even asked my friends to help me with it (they thought I was joking) I guess it’s that feeling when you feel you have no use anymore. I’ve also gained and lost too much weight recently, my scalp itches like hell and have sores on it that are unexplainable and of cause dandruff. This thing I don’t think these people have a cure or a right way of diagnosing it , all the doctors I’ve been to they tell me the same thing “there is nothing wrong with you it must be stress” which is crazy I’m still trying to deal with it. _____ From: candidiasis [mailto:candidiasis ] On Behalf Of Ruth Deutsch Sent: Monday, November 10, 2008 4:49 AM candidiasis Subject: Too alkaline Hi Everyone, I feel like I ought to know what to do about this, having had fungal issues so long..... Guest guest
Hi, as i have understood it, the cells often are acidic while the fluids around the cells are too alkaline. Often it is this fluid that is measured in the tests. It doesnt mean you are too alkaline, just that the spaces between the cells are. --- Den ons 2008-11-12 skrev Helen deHavilland <helen_dehavilland@...>: Från: Helen deHavilland <helen_dehavilland@...> Ämne: Re: Too alkaline Till: candidiasis Datum: onsdag 12 november 2008 10.18 Get a second opinion to make sure that he is right before you do anything.  I've heard of little strips you can buy to test yourself.  helen From: Ruth Deutsch <rudeutschgmail (DOT) com> Subject: Too alkaline candidiasis Received: Monday, 10 November, 2008, 1:49 PM Hi Everyone, I feel like I ought to know what to do about this, having had fungal issues so long..... Guest guest
Are you on a leaky gut diet due to food allergies? If so, a broad-spectrum digestive enzyme will help heal your gut faster. As you get older it's common to produce less digestive enzymes. If you have low stomach acid you defnitely could use some. Recommended are: Digest Gold by Enzymedia (they also make Candidase to control candida) - they can send out a free sample http://www.enzymedica.com/products/Digest_Gold Note that this one doesn't have DPP IV to break down gluten, so you would need to use Gluten Ease if gluten is an issue. TriEnza by Houston Enzymes http://www.nbnus.net/shopexd.asp?id=339 Good info on digestive enzymes: http://www.enzymestuff.com/ On Sun, Nov 9, 2008 at 9:49 PM, Ruth Deutsch <rudeutsch@...> wrote: > Hi Everyone, > I feel like I ought to know what to do about this, having had fungal issues > so long..... > > A practitioner who is treating me from across the country did some energy > testing and said that my body is too alkaline. Guest guest
Ruth, like Helen, I'd be skeptical of a " too alkaline " diagnosis especially from one so far away who used intuition to deliver the diagnosis. Low stomach acid affects half the population by the time we're about 60 years old. This is a non-event. The regimen shouldn't cause lean tissue loss but does cause fat loss. You can avoid emaciation of lean tissues the way body builders do -- with whey. They use about 160-180 grams daily, but about half that should be enough to keep you from wasting.
