Have friend do google search for holistic vets in her area.

Also check out egroups.

We have a Colorado Barfers list going, but she may find one in her state where she can buy even through a coop raw meats as I do locally.

For the itching...has dog been able to do some flax seeds ground perhaps? What about salmon oil which both of my dogs do almost nightly. Colorado is very dry and my dogS are doing well--no itching, but they do eat a BARF diet. again look for raw foods for dogs for more info...it's been working 5 years now for one of my dogs.

I told her to start looking for a new vet but in the meantime, is there something she could give him?
