Guest guest
Hi Duncan, Are you referring to gliadin as the same protein that causes people to react as in celiac dx, & being present on the cell wall of candida?? If not what is the protein called & can you please point me in the direction of any research/studies/info/references etc to this effect. TIA, Lesley xxx _____ From: candidiasis [mailto:candidiasis ] On Behalf Of Duncan Crow Sent: Friday, April 04, 2008 11:40 AM candidiasis Subject: Re: Duncan - may I ask a question - I'm getting pretty desperate Helen, the same protein that causes people to react to " celiac disease " is also present on the cell wall of candida. I think most proposed cases of celiac is only candida, because many fail to react to gluten after awhile on the anti-candida diet.
Guest guest
Lesley, I can't remember the name of the protein but yes I found it on PubMed. Guest guest
Is this protein " chitin? " I really am starting to think that candida is really the culprit in my IBS and gluten-intolerance, even though my GastroEnt doc said I have " celiac sprue. " Is that possible? thanks, Joanna :-) > > > > Hi Duncan, > > > > Are you referring to gliadin as the same protein that causes people > to react > > as in celiac dx, & being present on the cell wall of candida?? Guest guest
Yes, Joanna, whatever its name the protein on candida, the same protein as the one in gluten, will trigger celiac symptoms in the absence of gluten intolerance. The exact protein could be found in PubMed. I think a lot of people diagnosed with gluten intolerance are simply triggering a marginal condition with a bowel candida infestation more than with gluten. Similarly " IBS " resolves in most people with the same dietary change to embrace a low-carb anti- candida diet. I see it often. Guest guest
You are so welcome, Joanna; I don't have as much time these days for charity work but when I do I'm glad that I can be effective.
