Guest guest
The two beds of oats planted in the spring are starting to come to that milky stage, ripe for harvest and tincturing. I used up so much of that stuff over the fall and winter helping people out that were rundown, stress out, and tired or mildly depressed. It's kind of funny, I've got probably 150 square feet or so planted to them and just a small section is enough to make a lot of tincture. That means oatmeal this fall. It's interesting noting the difference in soil quality in the garden areas which were planted to a combination of red clover and oats last year. Heals the land and heals the people. For myself I find fresh oat straw or even field grass makes an infusion that is just as if not more effective than the tinctured milky oats. Lots of interesting effects from that, ranging from more youthful complextion to increased libido. Grass gives more trace minerals than any other land plant tested by the agricultural researchers. Guest guest
They are in the milk when the seed are filling out and not dry yet. Open one seed and it will be softer than dry oats and white color. If you wait too long to cut it, then the seed will fall to the ground.
