Guest guest
This is what I posted before. Here is a great site on Dry Skin Brushing. It even has a diagram to show which direction to brush. http://www.bestcare-uk.com/skin_brushing.htm If you want some other sites, these also explain it, no pictures though. http://members.tripod.com/~healingtools/skinbrush.html http://yerba.com/skinbrsh.htm http://www.holisticmed.com/detox/dtx-skin.txt Karmahttp://loaves-n-fishes.com Body Brushing I've lost my website to the directions for bodybrushing. Got my brush in the mail along with myUDO's, and I remember a website that showed a humanwith arrows illustrating the directions to brush. I've done a search on all the search engines and justcan't find the one I saw. Starr or Karma posted it Ithink. Could one of you clue me in again. Also, howlong does it take to see results from bodybrushing/UDO's (I have dry skin). Thanks for the info even though I know it isrepetative for you to send again.Hugs, Cristi__________________________________________________
Guest guest
Hi Everybody, If you go to message number 1705 and number 3065, they state the address where to find the 'map' of how to body brush and information on body brushing. If you don't want to go through the trouble, here is a copy of the emails that Karma posted back in April. Because of this email sent back then, I have bought a brush and now have just started body brushing. I have all of those bumps on my arms and body that are very annoying. I hope that body brushing helps get rid of those. Shanni From: Karma <tucker@m...> Date: Thu Apr 6, 2000 11:56am Subject: Very Interesting Article Hi Everyone, I found this very interesting article. I has a lot of answers to many questions including body brushing and yoga techniques. I had a great site that showed exactly how do to body brushing. I have done body brushing for quite a few years now. I really like it. I will keep trying to find a better site to show how to do it. In the mean time, you might want to check out this site. I think might actually be one that I print out. http://www.healthlibrary.com/reading/weight/chap12.htm Sincerely, ~Karma ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ rom: Karma@l... <karma@l...> Date: Fri Apr 21, 2000 3:22pm Subject: Re: Body Brushing This is what I posted before. Guest guest
Hi Liz, I have several body brushes. I have a body brush that is made special for the face and I have two different ones for the body. I got one of mine from my Wal-Mart. In our small town, it is the only place to shop pretty much. I got my other ones from the health food store. A real health food store, not GNC. Mine are on the softer side. Tuesday I was at the health food store helping a friend get set up to do a cleanse and helping her to buy a body brush. They had a soft brush and a harder bristle brush. We opted for the softer one. As for directions. My first directions came from Marilu Henner's Workout video. I have sense read her book and she gives directions in it too. I think it is called "Total Health Makeover" or something like that. There are other books on it. I have several that mention how to do it. The method that I have been doing is to start with my feet and brush the soles, then the tops of the feet. Then work my way of the legs to the mid section including the back side. I then go to the hands brushing the palms, then the back of the hands working up the arms. Then I brush the shoulders and back. The last thing that I do is to brush my belly and chest. I posted a web site a while back that showed diagrams on brushing. The important thing to remember is that you are trying to open the pores. By opening the pores it allows the body to release toxins through the skin better. Hopes this helps. Have a great day! Karma Hi Karma,Welcome home. We missed you. We're sooooooooooooo glad that God made away for you to come back. God still answers prayer. Praise the Lord!I've been thinking about body brushing for a while now. I keep looking atbrushes in the stores, but I don't know what kind to buy. Do I just buy abath brush, a hard bristle brush, or a soft brush? Also, do you know of agood book that talks about it and that shows how to do it?Thanks a lot! Have a good night! Guest guest
Hi Liz , I didn't post them , but I have used body brushing during a cleanse my Dr. put me on. After 3 days I had mucus in my bowel movements the size of a fifty cent piece. I had the same result when I wasn't on a cleanse. Bernard Jenson's one book has the instructions as does Grays. If no one re- posts them write to me personally and I'll scan the page & send it to you. Guest guest
Just a little interjection here. My irridologist told me to start with circular motions between my breasts as that is one of the "drains" for lymph. The other being around your belly button area. She said to start there just in case it is blocked at that point. If it were blocked there none of the fluid you are moving will be able to go anywhere. In other words if you start at your feet and force all this fluid up and the drain is blocked, where's it going to go? Start between your breasts and then your stomach THEN go to your feet and do what was written. Make any sense? Shari
Guest guest
Yes it does. If you know anything about chakras it makes sense. SuziSV <shavig@...> wrote: Just a little interjection here. Guest guest
We were told specifically to do it on top of the clothes. Also for us intensive meant 4 -6 times/day for about 15 mins for a period of one month and then just twice/day. HTH Nina > > Hi all, > My Ds NHS OT has agreed to trying out the Wilbarger Protocol for sensory defensiveness. She says she is not a specialist in this area and has no training in sensory integration but she is enthusiastic and willing to try and has a colleague who is trained. However, she has told me I need to brush and do joint compressions every 90 mins. Could someone who has experience of this protocol tell me if this is accurate because researching it on net seems to indicate every 2hrs. is sufficient. Also, do I have to avoid the spine and is it possible to brush over the top of clothes? She has asked Ds nursery to brush and they are very unhappy about this because it involves undressing him. (They have been so good on other fronts I don't want to rock the boat!) > I have to go in to the nursery tomorrow to discuss the issue, so any help before then would be very welcome. Thanks. Guest guest
Maybe it depends on how sensitive the child is if clothes on or off??? That is only my experience of it.
