Guest guest
: You need to do whatever you can live with. It's that simple. If you can't give up a certain food, then you can't give it up. You may not be as " sick " as some of us have been. But in the end you will do whatever you have to do, to get well. All I live on now is Salad, Veggies and some Meat and Fish. Period. Bonnie Can it be done while still eating some grains? Dear group, I have changed my diet quite a lot and have no fruit or diary, nothing with any form of sugar or flour on the label. I have started on anti-fungals, mainly raw garlic which is working well. I am still eating brown rice and rye although I have cut out all legumes and other starches. I have had some pretty severe die off symptoms with the garlic but they are subsiding and I am starting to suspect that the carbs are feeding the yeast. The thing is, it would take quite a lot of explaining to the people around if I went off carbs. Some people are already worried about me maybe getting anorexic. I have read some candida food plans which allow some grains. I wondered if anyone had any experience on this. All the best,
Guest guest
Hi Bonnie, Thanks for your reply. Actually, I am willing to go to any lengths to get well. No doubt I would have a phase of withdrawal from carbs but I could get through that. The main difficulties are that I am part of a food addiction recovery program (rfa) and carbs are required on our food plan three times a day. I have been of the food plan for years. So I have some conflict about what to do as going off carbs all together may entail me leaving that 12-step program. But it is certainly true that in the end I will do whatever it takes to get well. Last year was hell on earth health wise and now that I know what is wrong with me I need to kill it. Cheers, > > You need to do whatever you can live with. It's that simple.
