Guest guest
Don't drink decaf, it is full of chemicals, I drank it once years ago ,not knowing ,and I thought I would float into the sky. Never again, I drank diet pop and that is worse, just found out. I liked my caffeine to get me going , now it is water.Sharon J Coffee Substitute? > Hi all--can anyone recommend a good coffee substitute (not tea, > please!). Guest guest
Since I could not find an acceptable (to my taste) coffee substitute, I decided to stick to coffee, but switched to decaf. I know it is not the best for me, but the grain coffee substitutes are high carb, and I don't like them anyway. Chicory is too bitter. Tea (camellia sinensis) is high in fluoride, which blocks thyroid hormone among other detrimental effects. I still do drink tea, but decaf. I don't like any herbal teas at all. At the moment I remain unwilling to give up either coffee or tea, though I have cut back on both, particularly on the tea. I've had to give up nearly all of life's small food and drink related pleasures, and am still clinging to these last two. Maybe someday I'll feel differently, but for now, I'm comfortable with my decision. So if you find a good coffee substitute that is decaf and really tastes like GOOD coffee (I only drink good coffee, not grocery store brands), please share. sol JB wrote: > Hi all--can anyone recommend a good coffee substitute (not tea, > please!). Guest guest
The point is we shouldn't have coffee, decaf or not, so I am looking for a substitute that tastes like coffee. I don't drink it for the caffeine, I drink it for the flavor and smell. > > Don't drink decaf, it is full of chemicals, I drank it once years ago ,not > knowing ,and I thought I would float into the sky. Guest guest
If you can handle coffee (no adrenal issues or gall bladder). The organic coffees that are confirmed to be decaffinated in the " Swiss Water Method " , should be okay. As far as I know and you may want to check it out, the SWM is just a protocol that uses water to decafinate the bean. >> Don't drink decaf, it is full of chemicals, ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Guest guest
I know this is heresy, but you know what? I don't care. In this one instance, I just don't care. sol Sharon Jerdee wrote: > Don't drink decaf, it is full of chemicals,
Guest guest
LOL! I am SO with you on that--not the decaf thing, but coffee in general. As my doc said, it is highly unlikely that one cup of coffee a day is going to make or break candida. There's something to be said for quality of life. > > Don't drink decaf, it is full of chemicals, >
Guest guest
org. swiss style decaf has no chemicals. very common and easy to find > > Don't drink decaf, it is full of chemicals, > > > ------------------------------------ > >
Guest guest
What about (organic) dandelion root tea? Sorry if someone already mentioned it. I haven't tried it but it's sometimes marketed as a coffee substitute. Not sure if it's incompatible with the diet in any way but it would be healthier than drinking coffee, and is suppose to be good for the liver. ita
