IS THIS FOR YOU OR THE KITTY?

Three guesses. LOL! The kitty of course. He's developed an abscess on his "cheek" and it is probably coming from his gum problems. It sticks out like a golf ball. The vet said to use hot compresses (she hasn't seen it yet), but if it doesn't help she might have to lance it. I'm doing what I can before I take him back. Not easy getting a poultice on a cat cheek. I'm hoping I can get it to break and drain. That's one reason I was asking about the DMSO. Is there anything I can put in with it to heal an abscess?

One of my kitties just had an abscess. You do not want to think about

healing till all the pus and necrotic tissue is out. Once my kitty's one

burst, well that's the first I knew of it!, I then bathed it in warm

water with Epsom salts, 1 teaspoon per cup of warm water as it is good

for drawing toxins out.

the best of luck with your poor kitty cat

I'm on another list about kombucha tea and they are talking about putting kombucha "babies" on sore spots and I'm thinking it would probably work on an abcess. I'll ask and see what they say and let you know.

I have lots of them so if you want one, I'll mail it to you.
