Guest guest
Actually almost every woman produces more than enough estrogen in her fat cells alone. The problem is that you can't use the estrogen your body does produce without progesterone, and the body doesn't produce progesterone after the ovaries have stopped functioning. In fact, progesterone starts going downhill in the early 20's. And is gone by the time you hit menopause. So it is the progesterone your body needs, in order to make use of the estrogen. Most women with flashes are able to completely relieve the problem with progesterone cream. Unfortunatly yam cream won't work for this - its not bioidentical to the body's progesterone, does not enable your body to use its own estrogen. See http://www.hormoneprofiles.com or get some of Dr. Lee's books from the library for more information. I tried many food adjustments and herbal remedies before learning that progesterone was the problem, and nothing worked until I started using a bioidentical progesterone cream. Wish I had known about this 20 years ago. Joy > > > but but but I am post meno and and I believe the flushes are partly > as the oestrogen levels have dropped significantly. Guest guest
My mother seemed to be "going through the change" for most of my life while living at home! I, on the other hand, became vegan in my early 30's and raw vegan in my late 40's. I've not had a period in at least 5 years and maybe more. Just one day I woke up and realized I was either pregnant or done with my periods. Had it checked and yes, I was all through menopause and never even knew it. I give raw, living foods all the credit for keeping me from hot flashes and all the other strange happenings of menopause. Guest guest
Personally, I think her reasoning was only partial. And, certainly not all flushes are because of this imbalance alone. However... the hormone system is definitely a delicate balancing act. Many women are helped by taking small amounts of testosterone and, of course, progesterone. The balance needs to be right. And...ta-da...women who are adrenal deficient have a harder time of it. Besides.... " Estrogen is a potent and potentially dangerous hormone when not balanced by adequate progesterone. Guest guest
I was the reverse!!! I ate really well, vegan, raw, macro...and variations thereof from my early 20's to my late 30's then seemed to revert to my teen years!! Still a sinner and having my periods, yet to miss one, and have only had problems during stress. I guess I laid a good base ....most people guess me 10 years younger....but I think that's due to no wrinkles and no gray...people do seem to look at your face first. My bod ain't so hot, anymore!! So it is the progesterone your body needs, Thanks for this, yes I heard Dr Lees tape, and used to have some progesterone cream, but I threw it out when I left Australia 2 years ago so I have not actually used it yet! thanks again Persian -- " As long as people will shed the blood of innocent creatures there can be no peace, no liberty, no harmony between people.
