A calcium ring may appear long before the actual symptoms of arthritis. Guest guest
Hi again Shari, On Wed, Aug 10, 2005 at 04:37:54 -0700, SV wrote: > My sister in law was just here and I noticed her eyes look funny. However, the outer rim of her iris (the colored part) is showing white to light gray all the way around the iris. That doesn't seem right to me. Any thoughts? OK I have found the book. The calcium or sometimes called calcium/sodium ring indicates the calcium metabolism is very much out of balance, or the wrong sort of calcium, i.e. cow's milk or cheese, is being taken to excess and the body is unable to metabolise it as fast as it is ingested. Usually this ring would show in iris's of people over 40, maybe too sedentary for good health, maybe a little siff in the joints and slower than last year. Also can show before any symptoms. It means stiffening and hardening processes are at work in the circulation as calcium compounds and may be cholesterol deposits on the walls of major and minor blood vessels. One prime cause of the ring can be too high an intake of un-natural salt, like cooking salt. ( yes I know all salt is bad, I am taking this from my other Dorothy Hall book). Generally it says that there may be aches and pains, in the joints, also the build up of cholesterol makes the system work harder to pump fluid through the more rigid and narrower 'pipes' - blood vessels. etc, that just about covers it. regards Persian " As long as people will shed the blood of innocent creatures there can be no peace, no liberty, no harmony between people. Slaughter and justice cannot dwell together " - Isaac Bashevis Singer " Atrocities are not less atrocities when they occur in laboratories and are called medical research " - Bernard Shaw 'The question is not, can they reason? Guest guest
High copper levels can make a gray circle around the iris of people with brown eyes. In people with blue eyes the circle is a brown/copper shade. > My sister in law was just here and I noticed her eyes look funny. She has very dark brown eyes.
