Oreo's mouth and tumor haven't been improving so tonight I took him to another vet....a holistic one. Yes, it's a tumor and she said I'm giving him good stuff. Then she added even more to give him. You should see my kitchen. It's a pet pharmacy!! She gave me some DMSO fortified with Vit. A to use topically on the tumor. Plus I have to give him extra strength fish oil, an oxygenated mouth wash, green tea, Hoxsey formula with added yellow dock and agrimony (she said Hoxsey is stronger than Essaic), Vit. C, 1/4 clove of garlic (she said it's fine for cats as long as you don't overdo it. Actually good for them in moderation) and up to 120 mg. of CoQ10. All daily. Plus what I'm already giving him. This is really work folks!!! Lol!

glad to hear you got more stuff... amazing what we do for our "kids" isn't it?

Some people look at me like I'm crazy. Others come right out and say they'd never go through all this for their cat. Oh, well...;-). This is the first time I've been to the holistic vet out here. It's surprising the "types" of people who were taking their animals to her. I thought they'd all look like hippie new agers, but no! They were the burly workman or farmer who probably hangs out with the good ol' boys at night drinking beer...and there they were, bringing Fido in for a handful of herbs and a chiropractic adjustment. Lol!!

I'm so glad you found the right dr. She's much appreciated even not knowing her but knowing that relief is in sight. Go mamma...you rock..........

Thanks Carolg. She was very nice and uses both holistic and regular veterinary medicine, depending on the situation. So she knew exactly where I was coming from and set him up on a purely holistic regimen. She said that a lot of the pets in their practice are on Hoxsey and are doing well and she wants to give it a shot with Oreo. She said she still might advise the teeth operation that the regular vet suggested but she wants to wait and see how he does on this program.
