I'm glad you decided to stay. We really are a great bunch of people. :)

I'm glad the Remicade is helping you. I'm one of the " few " who it didn't do

anything for. Seems to be my luck lately.

I've had cortisone shots in the knee before, they always helped for a little

while anyway. Hopefully it will buy you some time until the Remicade has

time to fully kick in. Do you take mtx also?

Hope you have a pain free weekend, and don't forget to stay off of your feet

(my injections seem to last longer when I was able to stay off of my feet for

a couple of days). Tery - FL

Hi :

So sorry you are going through your troubles. So many people have been

really successful on Remicade. I wish I could take it but I am told you need

to be on MTX with it and that is what I cannot have. I think you will

continue to experience relief more and more as time goes by. I am also glad

you decided to stay with us. So many of us are going through some very

difficult times right now too. Please don't feel put out if somebody does

not respond right away. Just scream and shout a little to get our attention.

We sometimes get very involved in our own problems but we can react when

nudged. Sometimes too, we need more attention than other times and we have

to let people know when that is. Out of this entire wonderful group, a few

members can and will respond. On better days, you get the whole shabank to

write back to you. Keep the faith and hang in with us. We get us other

through the rough spots. We need you.

Lovingly,

Jeannette

Hello, !

There is absolutely no need to apologize. I'm sure you didn't offend anyone. We

were just worried

that you would leave without giving us and yourself a fair chance to work it

out. I'm very happy you

decided to stay!

I really hope the cortisone shot for your knee gives you some relief. Please do

try to rest it if at

all possible. It's probably feeling a bit sore from the injection, too. Sorry to

hear that your hip

is severely damaged. It's amazing that the Remicade is working so well that it

isn't bothering you.

I wish you continued success with it.

I read in a previous post of yours that your primary is retiring. I hope that

your new primary can

live up to the high standard that you are accustomed to - you need and deserve

it.

Have a good weekend,

rough time of year for

everyone. I went to the rheumetologist today. He said and did exactly what I

thought he would do.

I have had 2 infusions of remicade with some improvement. Now my major pain is

in just one knee. I

told him that if that pain were less I could function better. He gave me a shot

of cortisone and

told me to stay off my feet for the weekend-fat chance but I'll try! Also told

me that my left hip

has serious abnormality from the arthritis. Well it's feeling better from the

remicade. Hope no

more damage done.

glad to see that you are going to stay. I am VERY VERY NEW to this group & I

have found everyone to be supportive & funny. I used to attend an " in

person " support group when i was first diagnosed & we would have some

people who would seem to feel that this was their own private therapy

session & no one could possibly ever feel like they did, blah blah blah.

Eventually, they were noticed to have more problems than just ra or lupus &

we did lose people. At this point, I haven't noticed this with this group.

I am surprised by the diversity of the people in this group & variety of

treatments, testing, etc. I am recuperating from my second total knee

replacement & have been pretty much house confined. since signing onto

this board, my world has opened up tenfold...........there are some

remarkable people on this board, stronger than i could ever hope to be. this

disease works on the body & MIND, but atleast we know that we are not alone

& have a safe place to vent, laugh & be like our oldselves.......glad to see

you will be staying & look forward to your postings........

love,

I am glad you made the decision to stay with this wonderful group. I felt

so bad when I read your post because I have been gone so much and a has

been alone moderating the list. We have other members that have been great

at helping others and I know we all feel the same - we don't want anyone to

feel left out.

I appreciate the fact that you spoke up and shared your feeling and I was

not surprised to see some of the loving responses to your feelings. This is

a great group and many of us what to do all we can to keep it this way.

If you are not getting a response - don't me afraid to say 'I need

opinions'. If you just need to chat, bring up chocolate or pets and that

will usually get this list going.

Hope your knee is doing well since the injection.

Hello,

Did you ever consider that when it is our time to go on to another world it

is time. No matter where we are or what we are doing? Yes, I grieve for all

families who have lost loved ones. In my own heart I know when it is my time,

I can be walking down the street, or whatever and I will be in the other

world. I have no anger towards you, or anyone. All I send is love and peace

to all. Since I choose to spend my life in positive thoughts and feelings and

not be worrying about fear and hate. As my path is to be who I am and know

that I am someone special. To know that we all are special.

Thank You,

Heidi

You didn't offend me. I feel like I offended you and I'd like to make amends. I get a little over the top sometimes and forget some folks are at a different level of learning than I.

Please keep posting and just know that most of what I say I'm saying while smiling!! I have a wicked sense of humor and it's usually on the dark side and that doesn't translate well in an email message.

Hi Kathy

It must feel like even your PC is conspiring against you!

I can understand a little of your frustration. When my GP diagnosed

the CML, he referred me to an oncologist and then seemed to wipe his

hands of me. If I go to him with a minor problem he ALWAYS tells me

to rather speak to the oncologist. When I raise it with her, she

always says this is something my GP should be dealing with. I am

convinced that if I went to my GP with a broken leg, he would find a

way to relate it to Gleevec and refer me tothe oncologist! It is

enough to drive a saint mad! It must be worse for you because you

have more health professionals involved than I do but I really do

empathise! Hope you start feeling a little better soon!
