Guest guest
Kathy - what kind of water? Tap? And what is "a lot of water" to you? Sometimes when I think I'm drinking a lot of water it might be two quarts on Monday and by Friday it's down to two cups and I still think I'm drinking a lot of water! Also, are you adding anything to your water? Celtic sea salt? Do you drink anything with caffiene? Even if the drink is not "brown" it still may have caffiene. Mountain Dew comes to mind, it has more caffiene than coffee and is almost a clear liquid. Just a couple of things to consider. Also, do you still eat wheat? That is a huge trigger for a headache with me and a dehydrator to my body. FWIW - Shari
Guest guest
I was under the impression that distilled water was the best water a person could drink, i.e., being distilled, it picks up toxins and metal in the body system and flushes the toxins out. L. *************** Kathy - how much per day? Personally I stay away from distilled, it's too " dead " for lack of a better word. I'd do reverse osmosis water with Celtic sea salt and at least 1/2 your body weight in ounces per day and if eating cooked food I would drink more water. So, if you weigh 150 pounds, 75 ounces of water and if you eat cooked food I would say at least 100 ounces of water every day. With 1/4 teaspoon Celtic Sea Salt per quart. Guest guest
yes, it makes sense... I think too, one needs to look at the reason they are drinking the water, whether for cleansing, thirst, medicinal, etc.. this (to me) also makes sense.SV <shavig@...> wrote: I have heard that too, but what I said was "personally I do not care for distilled". Guest guest
I’ve also read in more than one place that sitting water in the sun will give life force to it. Me – I take a magic marker and write words like “Peace”, “Love”, “I Love You”, “Harmony”, etc. on my water bottles. People at work think I’m nuts. There is a book out there that is well worth the reading: “The Hidden Messages in Water” by Masaru Emoto. -----Original Message----- From: health [mailto:health ] On Behalf Of SV Sent: Saturday, August 27, 2005 9:16 PM To: health Subject: Re: water I have heard that too, but what I said was " personally I do not care for distilled " . Guest guest
Distilled water is empty of everything but H2O. It is considered a “hungry” water, which makes it excellent for use in teas and other mixtures and medicinals where you want as much of the properties of the plant material to be absorbed into the water as possible. Distilled water does this better than any other type of water. But this also means that distilled water, by itself, will also pull out things from your body, and in that, it doesn’t discriminate. It pulls out the good as well as the bad. I’ve actually gotten fatigued from drinking just distilled water. For drinking purposes, I use filtered water. For my herbal mixtures and teas, I use distilled. I also use distilled water for any sterilization that I need to do, as well as for soaking seeds, grains, etc. Namaste' Benita -----Original Message----- From: tempo33x It has been said that distilled water no longer has 'life force'. I drink filtered and treated rainwater.
Guest guest
I’ve seen the book and research. It’s amazing. We had a speaker at our herbal study group come out and speak to us about water. He created a company that actually programs water for individual use. He explained that his company is more into tailoring the programming of water to an individual for their needs and use, but he doesn’t do it on a commercial scale. He also brought two glass jugs of water; one labeled “Earth” water and the other labeled “Florida” water. During the lecture, he gave us a sample of the Earth water. It tasted like good old water. Later in the discussion, he gave us the Florida water. It had a distinctly different taste, but still very good. He then explained to us that both jugs of water had come from the same source and nothing physical had been added or subtracted from either of them. The only difference had been the type of programming that each was subjected to. His “scientific” explanation was way over our heads, but he also confirmed my belief that we can program our own water. I’ve always blessed the water I drink or use before I drink or use it. I have always felt that the water was actually better that way. The scientist’s explanation was over a lot of heads, but I caught the gist of it, and it made sense to me. Guest guest
Hi Benita, I used to think this, too....and stopped drinking it....now I'm not so sure that the chemistry is there to back up this theory. Just wondering if you ever saw any chemistry to back up this " hungry " theory? :-) Kit > Distilled water is empty of everything but H2O. Guest guest
Benita – I know a woman that, after reading Dr. Emoto’s book, took two jars and put water and rice in them. She told her kids they were making a science experiment. She labeled one jar with very loving words and the other with hateful words. The jars were put in the same spot, not touched or moved after that and every day they looked at the jars and recorded what was happening. After a period of time, I think it was 10 or 14 days, the jar labeled with the hateful words had spoiled, smelled horrible, puffed up into a yellow/brown mass while the water and rice in the jar labeled with the loving words looked just like it had the first day of the experiment. It might have clouded up just a bit, but it had no smell, etc. I do think the children spoke the same kinds of words on the label over the jars each day, too. It was very interesting to hear what happened during the experiment. Guest guest
I hope their Mom then told them that the human body is made up of 75% water.....ah, yes, the importance of kind words!!!! <G> Kit Some interesting facts about water 75% of the earth's surface is covered with water More than 97% of the earth's water is in its oceans About 2% of the available drinking water is frozen leaving only 1% for drinking The world's average rainfall is about 850 mm Water regulates the Earth's temperature. It also regulates the temperature of the human body, carries nutrients and oxygen to cells, cushions joints, protects organs and tissues, and removes waste 60% - 75% of the adult human body is water - 82% of blood is water; 70% of the brain and 90% of the lungs are made up of water Blood in animals and sap in plants is composed mainly of water To cook 1 cup of rice you need 2 cups of water but to wash the pan in which it has been cooked you need 4-5 litres of water A dripping tap can waste up to 6 litres of water in a day More than half the creatures on the Earth are found under water Life on earth probably originated in water In the summer our bodies require about 2 litres of water daily. Here is the water content of some foods (approximate) - 95% in tomato, 91% in spinach, 91% in milk, 85% in apples and 80% in potatoes http://edugreen.teri.res.in/explore/water/watintro.htm > Benita - > > I know a woman that, after reading Dr. Emoto's book, took two jars and > put water and rice in them.
