I would like to find out if it is ok to use hot/warm water to

wash " down there " once you find out that you may be suffering from

Recurrent Candidiasis.

I rememeber a nurse advised me against Dettol (which is a chemical)OR

ANY OTHER ANTIBACTERIAL/DISINFECT but said i should rather go for

salt (which is a type of natural antiseptic). She advised me to put a

little salt in the water that i will use to wash down there.

-Please, does any body know if there is any truth in this?

-Does it help to use hot/warm water to wash " down there " ?

-Is it good to be using Dettol often to disinfect the water?

-Is it okay to use salt once in a while as a disinfectant to

wash " down there "

I am at a lose as to what to do because i have tried all above and my

condition does not improve. For the past 4 years or more, i have had

to

deal with treating candida, which occurs about 5 to 6 times in a

year.

I have even had to go to the extent of changing Doctors, just to seek

alternative medical advise but all to no avail. When it comes and i

get treatment, after sometime, it returns. And sometimes, i even have

to resort to off-the-counter drugs like (Fluconazole, Gyno-Daktarin

persaries, Clotrimazole etc)

I am getting worried because i notice it is getting worse as I grow.

But thanks to the advise on diet that i read this morning by Sally,

i have come to know that i do not need sugar to meet any nutritional

need. I have also learnt that too much fruit wont help when i have

recurrent candida. I like to eat cakes a lot but i have just learnt

from what i read this morning that cakes and other pastries only form

part of the reasons for my suffering. And so i have

stopped from today!

I thank you all and hope to get some worthwhile

advise on the above-mentioned subject.

Any Doctors, Specialists around? I would really appreciate your

advice on this. Thanks.

Best regards,

G.
