Hm, on furniture I use beeswax and orange oil, applied very lightly and thinly. I suppose it would work on wood floors as well.

Beeswax sounds good but expensive...but how safe is turpentine and linseed oil? I Have no idea.

Here is an easy to make a relatively inexpensive and safe alternative.

1/4 cup of olive oil

1.4 cyp of vinegar

10 drops of essential oil (optional)

Mix and apply - wipe clean.

Why buy no beeswax? After all, we use it in our salves and balms, on our skin and lips. So why not wood?

To my knowledge, one really shouldn't use wax at all -- just to wash them with vinegar water -- however, to spice them up a bit, this sounds like a good recipe.
