Guest guest
ds has had yeast issues..since birth i believe. tested 4 years ago and indeed candida. we have tried various natural things. he is also on an 'allergen free diet.' the candida leads to this I believe. We went to another doc yesterday. she appeared to have a good understanding of things and believes in both traditional medicine and also in nutritional routes. he is severely constipated (again..since birth.) he goes daily but not much. and it is always hard. she said that he has to really be clear in his bowels, more or less, for anything to work which is why nothing worked. she is recommending miralax and nystatin both for a month and then adding on probiotics. in the past probiotics have actually made his constipation worse. (most people look at me crazy when i say this.) I am not thrilled about the miralax however he is now a bit older and we need to get his gut moving. i don't know if this group is mostly adults, or if some of you have kiddos w/ candida?? i am a bit wondering if i should go for 'bigger guns' with the candida ie: diflucan? at first. I am concerned that it might not be 'enough' and it may come back even worse. any advice is appreciated. Thanks and regards, amy lapain
