Guest guest
Thought I would post about some things that might be of interest: I found an abstract online about a CFS and leaky gut study where a girl totally recovered from treatment. I wrote to the author asking for the whole article or what the treatment is. He sent me this link to his Web site, it's quite interesting and talks about many conditions. Sounds like he has had some run-ins with the Belgian medical establishment. His URL is michaelmaes.com. The study mentions immunoglobulins as a leaky gut treatment. I ordered something called Seacure which is supposed to help this and overall immunity. Anyone tried Seacure? It looks promising. I hope to get a doctor to do the treatment (wish me luck...). Dr. Leo Galland's site talks about leaky gut and candida as part of it. I've decided to get the Genova Diagnostics test. His site is mdheal.org and the leaky gut article is mdheal.org/leakygut.htm. (He looks good but expensive!) I read that GI doctors in the US don't know about leaky gut, and CFS doctors sure don't seem to, although to me it seems the whole thing comes down to gut issues--no wonder people stay sick. Someone asked about alkalizing--I take apple cider vinegar mixed with unsweetened cranberry juice and lemon juice and stevia in a glass of water (5 parts water to one part mixture 3x/day) and that alkalizes (except for the cranberry juice--I leave that out 1x/day) and feels cleansing. The vinegar (Braggs, the cloudy kind) has given me die-off and some good days. I'm sticking with it even though it does less lately (it's been about 5 weeks--I take 6 tablespoons/day). Sometimes I add cayenne. I think I killed some parasites on this mixture. I can only tolerate the teeniest bit of inulin for now, but even that seems to help a bit, with probiotics. Wondering if many people on this list have CFS and/or fibromyalgia and/or Lyme/coinfection diagnoses? Or why candida occurred--antibiotics mostly? Wishing you all a happy and healthy New Year.
