Guest guest
Hi Sue, Hope this finds you well. Not sure what is meant by irritating the system. Do you mean: do I notice itching with something particular that I have eaten? If so, then no. I am itchy all the time but nighttime is unbearable. This has been going on for awhile. I have not asked prior as I do not wish to sound like a walking parasite..lol! Nighttime has gotten to the point that I dread it. Between the dozen bathroom trips before I could lie down and then the immense itching that keeps me awake all night...well.. I have a calendula ointment here. Thankyou for that suggestion. But at this point it feels like I would need to turn me inside out for it to work Appreciate your help and input Have a beautiful day Sue Tone This can come from liver/gall bladder problems. Guest guest
Hi Suzi, Hope this day finds you and your family well. Yes a cleanse is needed. I will see if I can get some things to start on Monday. Forget about just water, I suffer from nausea all the time as is. I am going mad today with this itching so much that I feel ill. I get some weird stuff huh? lol I am actually tearing apart my own self here. I was reading about gallbladder cleanses and there is just no way I would ever drink epsom salt. Just cannot get past the notion of drinking something I would soak my achy bones in Maybe this will help my urge to 'go' as well. I am not sure what is normal or not but I am averaging 50 trips to the bathroom a day. And I want a life? LOL Today is day 11 with no beer. But who is counting ? I really do love my beer but it was not loving me and then some. Guess I should start heeding some of my own advice. This group should be glad that I don't share everything. Guest guest
Yes, I have had itching that is so bad I got into a cold shower with a vegetable scrub brush!! I itch when I eat too much wheat. I itch when I eat too much salt. I itch when I eat sugar. I itch when I drink coffee. I itch when I eat Chinese food. I itch when I eat peanuts. In other words, I itch when I stray from my raw fruits and vegetables because most processed food is not really food and your body is trying to throw off the toxins. Guest guest
EPSOM SALTS?????????? I never heard of that for a gallbladder cleanse! Mostly it is done by apple juice (in the fall, by the way) and olive oil/lemon juice or grapefruit juice.. It could be a release of toxins after not drinking beer. Small price to pay for such a gain! I guess you are going to the bathroom a lot because you are trying to cleanse out your body by drinking a lot of water. If not, then do it. Suzi is right: re-boot your body through a cleanse. Guest guest
Toni, I know what you mean about the epsom salts. There is another gallbladder cleanse in the files, hold on, I'll get the link or the info. Be right back......... Here it is: Gall Bladder Flush - Dr Schulze Take eight ounces of fresh squeezed citrus juice - any combination but atleast one lemon - and eight ounces of organic, cold pressed, extra - virginolive oil. Blend together in a high speed blender and drink four ounces everyhour for four consecutive hours. This is best begun around 6 p.m. so that the patient goes to bed afterwardand sleeps on the right side. Six p.m. is when the liver starts to cleanse,so this is an ideal time to start the flush. This formula is very good at flushing out gall stones and helping the liverto work properly again. Guest guest
Yes, Sue....I think Toni wandered onto an intestinal cleanse. Although, the Master Cleanser calls for sea salt. Salt is a natural laxative... And, Toni...not to fear Epsom Salts....it is 100% natural mineral (magnesium sulfate). After all, many people soak in sea salts or say Himalayan Crystal Salts and still eat with salt. Look on any bag/box of epsom salts in your drugstore and right on the bag in says for use as a laxative and the dosages to take. Both Sue and Shari & Suzi sound correct on this....something is toxic to your body....it's coursing thru your blood. A liver/gallbladder cleanse and/or a juice fast would be good. Also, take a good look at what you are ingesting that might be causing this. Are you eating any fish or seafood? Perhaps, it's just a beer detox!! Guest guest
Well, Toni....I think it is an important component and a good place to start. But, hon, anywhere you start is good. Giving up the beer is a great start....and good for the adrenals as well. Mind any other cravings or addictions as well. I tend towards the endocrine system because it controls so much. The adrenals are only part of the system. I think you need to get really serious about taking care of yourself. I know that you know what to do. You might take an antihistamine...but it is only a 'patch' on the problem. I'm not against patches as long as they are helping you to keep going...and that means going in the direction of a making the changes that you get you your health back. You need to get to the cause and take care of it....as you already know. Kit > Kit, > > I've been doing alot of reading on the adrenals. Maybe I should focus on them since I seem to have just about all the symptoms there. Then again sometimes we all can find symptoms when looking for something I guess. > My itching has gone into rash stage in certain parts. Guest guest
Ah...looks like my moderation line crossed in the posting. It's not unusual, as you may know, that an alcohol craving/addiction is concurrant with sugar cravings. Often children/adults with the 'alcoholic' gene crave sugar. Also...an adrenal symptom. Maybe you should not push if you a feeling unwell. The is no crime in a day without " productivity " . Think of it as productive towards healing. Kit > Morning Kit, > > Thanks again for all the good info and advice you give. I always appreciate everything. Yes, I know giving up the beer is a good thing but I really do love my beer. Thing with me is that I am either extreme or nothing. No such thing with moderation when it comes to myself and that then often becomes a problem. Crazy thing is that inspite of me still craving to have a beer, I am now craving sugar. There are always those catch 22's huh? lol > Regarding the beer though, I won't go out and buy it so if it is not here I cannot have it to drink it. If it is here it is not here long. Anyway, I know this is for the best. I should not be feeling unwell at the tender young age of 45..lol Hey my mind is young if that accounts for something! > Today I feel like a bus hit me. Guest guest
Sorry to say this, Toni, but methinks it needs to be said....not only has she been toxing her body for a long time, Suzi, she *continues* to do so with coffee and cigarettes! I'm wondering if a lot of this most recent trouble isn't due to detox after quitting beer. Beer seems a relatively inocuous substance, but is a huge allergan because of the grains so that could contribute to the itching. (Now just think how much money you would save if you quit smoking!<G>) A very good detoxing bath is epsom salts and baking soda....will pull the toxins from your body. May make things worse at first but will only help to speed healing. Guest guest
Good Morning All, Hope this Monday finds you all well. Sharyn, it is okay. Sometimes the truth stings but yes it needs to be said. I know what I need to do it is just so hard! I don't know about detox but I am really sick. My entire body including my head and neck are in pain and I just feel blah. I blame it on the germs in the supermarket lol As for the dry brushing, like I said I have tried many times over the years and just cannot do it. I mean obviously I can take itching as I itch frequently but if I do that it is maddening to the point that I want to hurt myself for it to stop. That sounds a bit bizarre but I cannot think of another way to put it. I do scrub in my shower though And thankyou for your kind offer to send me some things. Let me look first alittle more before I accept that offer. I maybe could substitute some different things or just leave out the horseradish. I am writing this as you are posting Regarding wine, I like an "occassional" glass on certain occassions so no fear here of being a wino Usually your red wines will produce the headaches. I read somewhere that after drinking if one puts some acidolphilus (excuse spelling) in some hot water or something like that, it will take away any of the next morning headaches. My brother is a vintor here in NJ and makes some very wonderful wines. Of course I never got any free when he did speak to me nevermind now I probably wouldn't be even able to purchase them..oh well Thankyou Sharyn.
