Guest guest
Joy, Have you looked into co-housing? ... not so restrictive as intentional. If you're building forms...you might want to look into rammed earth...depending on what the earth is like where you're building. You can building a slip form (may be what you've planned). I have a green builder friend who built a nice one...including a half-second story. Straw bale is pretty popular around here. Someone even built a 'free form' straw and mud house. I think some of those new insulating materials are very good...perlite etc. I used a " green " material called icynene on an older house...under the roof of house and garage. I would have done the walls but I have asbestos siding. http://www.energysmartinsulation.com/faq.html > > > > Hi, As a member of this list, I'm hoping to tap some of the wisdom here > by sharing hopes and plans for the future.
