candida in the brain?

Sol.......I believe candida can get into the brain. Also can cause fungal

meningitis.

***** Test showed I have the white matter on the brain. I believe it to be

candida. If I eat to much sugar, I can get terrible head pain. I also control

most of the terrible pain in my head with fish oil.

If I don't take 6 to 8 capsules a day, (split up morning and evening) I will

get unbearable migraine pain and will be throwing up. I think it is the

inflammatory fungus meningitis that causes the terrible pain. The fish oil helps

to

settle the inflammation.

******has anyone ever heard if the white matter on/ or in the brain, is

something other then Candida infection.

I have yet to find the source I spoke of earlier that led me to believe that

candida could not cross the blood brain barrier, but in my search for it I ran

across this abstract that I had bookmarked to read on a non-brain fog day.

Allow me to contradict myself for a moment-

This abstract http://iai.asm.org/cgi/content/full/69/7/4536 from an in-vitro

study seems to say that while the non-antagonistic c. albicans cannot cross the

blood brain barrier, that the virulent type can and does. BUT I also gather

from this abstract that when it does cross the result is always menengitis and

that it is only able to do this in premature infants and severely

immunocompromised individuals.

So, I still stick to my original belief that the brain fog and other related

symptoms that we all experience are due to toxins produced by candida & die-off,

rather than actual candida in our brains. If we truly had candida in our

brains; we would be on our death beds.

Does anyone interpret this differently?

Also, on a somewhat related note here is another site that offers fantastic

pictures of candida in its yeast form and in its fungal form.

Thanks!

My understanding has always been the same as yours, that candida

produces the brain fog etc by other means (toxins, etc) rather than

infecting the brain directly. I would think that if candida infection

exists in the brain there would be hundreds of papers on it, as

autopsies would be exposing it frequently.

I confirmed the same thought last year from 2

different docs who both are very candida literate.

They both say that it is the die off from the candida

that cause the various parts of our body to react.

Its kinda like when you have a virus and have a

headache, muscle aches, sore throat ect. You donthave

a virus in your head muscles or throat all at the same

time, but your body reacts differently.

the over growth of candida is in the intestines. the

dieoff affects your whole body.
