Guest guest
Has anyone else ever tried or even heard of Le Vai Living Water? Their site is LeVaiWater.com. I've read that Candida flourishes in a more acid environment, so I was intrigued by the company's claim that theirs was an " alkaline Ionized water. " They sent me a few bottles for me to sample. The bottle touts, " pH: approximately 8.5, " but when I checked it with a pH test strip it only showed 7.2. My everyday tap water, run through a charcoal filter, registers a pH of 7.4, higher than this " alkalized " water. I had been feeling a bit " wired " in the afternoon, yesterday. My 2nd mug of coffee @ 1pm had, for whatever reason, really had a stimulating effect on me. I drank a 16.9oz bottle of the Le Vai water and lost the " wiredness " within half an hour or so. I also noticed that the dryness in my mouth (probably from the coffee acting as a diuretic & draining my fluids?). BUT, I was starting to feel rather tired (fatigued?) and skipped doing the paperwork I'd intended to do and hit the sack with a book, instead. I checked my urine pH an hour or two after drinking the Le Vai, but it was rather acidic (5.6 or so), so it didn't seem to positively impact that. I'm very leery of ANY product that claims to be " better than natural " (in this case natural water). I was just wondering if anyone else has tried the water or knows much about the ionization process and its possible side-effects? Guest guest
Mike, I haven't heard of that water but I can tell you that your alkalinity in the blood is strictly controlled and the bowel is already more acidic than this water. That is to say, regardless of the claims of alkalinity, it will not affest your candida. Another thing is that common well water in the interior is much more alkaline than this water. Guest guest
Duncan, Thank you for the info. I'm still interested in learning more about higher pH foods & water. I truly believe that even though I eat more raw fruits & vegetables than most anyone I know, I tend to eat a good deal of cheap fast food for lunch and think that it's probably negatively affecting my health. If I find anything helpful I'll keep you posted.
