Guest guest
How about giving up the cereal? Then you wouldn't need the milk! Have just fruit for breakfast. If you really need milk, I make my own almond milk, sesame milk (lots of calcium), and macadamia nut milk to mention just a few of the nut milks I have tried to date. These are my favorites. Flavored with dates or agave nectar they have no processed white sugar or sucrose or any other "ose" in them. They are fresh and quite good when chilled. I do not sit and drink a glass of them, but have used them to make smoothies, poured over dehydrated, sprouted, buckwheat (called BuckWheaties). I stay as far away from soy as I possibly can. Guest guest
Actually, due to the way soy milk is processed today, it is unhealthy to consume. I have an article that explains in detail the processing of soy to produce soy milk, much different than it use to be. But like many other things, the process is short-cutted to make a buck which in turn leaves us with an unhealthy product. I stay as far away from soy as possible. Swim at your own risk! Guest guest
Would like to read the article you are referring to if you would post the link- also, there are more problems with soy that are not limited to the processing of it. Guest guest
We are in Australia and you cannot get raw dairy here legally due to health regulations. Organic is the closest we can get unless you have your own cow or goat and then you still have to have the Dept. of Primary Industry oversea what you do with the milk producing animal plus they regulate and test the milk for health reasons. Guest guest
Some states do not allow the sale of raw dairy, Louisiana for one. You can buy cheese made from raw/unpasterized milk though. The farmers I spoke to are to scared to sell me raw products.......because it is against the law. Guest guest
And do not assume organic milk is healthy......it is " dead " (pasterized) or " flash " pasterized, ( quicker and at lower temperature ) ..........still dead. Only humans drink milk after weened, and perverse in drinking the milk of another species. There is a wealth of info. on the disease pasterized milk causes when consumed on a regular basis over a prolonged period. Cows milk is for................................cows I think. Battaglia <fbattaglia@...> wrote: As much as I do not like to say this as 1) it turns people off and 2) it is disconcerting as to what we have done and continue to do to our food supply. I do not know if anyone remembers Surgeon General C Everett Koop- he was fired the very next day after he proclaimed to the world on the front page of the NY Times that cow's milk if not good for human consumption. There is a wealth of empirical evidence to that effect and in addition a wealth of evidence that dairy is one of the leading causes of illness in healthy people not to mention there are numerous bacteria carried in dairy that are passed on through consumption. But, hey do not take my word for it - google away. There is a great health practitioner , and I do not use the word " great " lightly, who shares this view, check out his homepage, www.mmvbs.com. I too was a skeptic until I could no longer ignore the research. Raw, organic dairy is better than commercial but nowadays the feed and the water can no longer be trusted. Guest guest
And they are? We've been drinking raw goats' milk here for years. We're all still alive. Having said that, however, I would be careful where I acquired raw milk elsewhere. I know my animals, keep them in good health, treat them with herbals, etc. I'm also careful about sanitation when I milk, though I try not to be paranoid about it. People have been drinking raw milk for hundreds of years. I never heard of any mass die-offs because of it. It's true that brucellosis and some other diseases and health problems can cause health problems for the humans drinking the milk. But that's the exception not the rule. Guest guest
We've been drinking raw goats milk for years ourselves. Mankind has been drinking raw goat's, cow's, & sheep milk for thousands of years. The enzymes and other life giving substances in it are some of the best food we can eat. The fact that they are from other species is irrelevant. So is all the other food we eat if I'm not very mistaken Best Regards, Vince > > And they are?
