At the end of 24 hours check them and again at 36. I would not leave them 3 days if doing lemon.. they will have the shell pretty much dissolved (depending on how much stirring was done)... the egg will be incased in the rubberry like membrane, and can be removed with careful manuevering..

You'll have just the membrane left, so lift them out very carefully. I've made it in Super Tonic rather than lemon juice once or twice, as an experiment. Then I boiled the eggs. Tasted FANTASTIC!!
