Guest guest
Nice to have you. It is not that active but I hope we can create some discussion. Now for me I am a father of a boy who is autistic. I am also an artist who has molded my lump of clay into a mode for success. No I have not used Brain gym or even read one book complete on autism. I have used common sense and will power given to me by the high spirit. I have transferred my vision and now express it through writing. I am working on a series of children picture books intended to empower, educate and desensitize its audience. I would love to have your professional feedback of my works as they are in the finalization stage. If you do decide to read one of my stories I would ask that it is not passed around or read to anyone else other than you, without my permission. It is not finished and that action could violate me. Cheers

If you’re reading a group mail and hit reply, it will reply to the whole group. If you want to reply to someone outside of group (privately), I recommend you copy their individual address, hit “forward” & paste their address in the “to” line. a/k/a De RE: Re: greetings Hi Ross welcome to our group.Sorry I didn't get to you sooner but my internet server is acting up and half the time I can't get my mail or send it out.We are a crazy group but a happy bunch. We all have the same problem but at different stages.I am one of the lucky ones where treatment worked and I have been undetectable for a viral load since 99.At the top of every post you will see individuals email addies. You can send your messages to the individual or to the group.Usually someone in the group will have an answer for me.Take care Gail

Guest guest
Thank you, Ann. Happy Mother's Day to you too. How was your gathering yesterday? Guest guest
Dear , Thank you very much for the return greeting, but the UK had its Mothers Day in March. I don't know why it's a different date. As it happens, my daughter has been here this afternoon and she mentioned that this morning she looked at the calendar she bought on her recent holiday in NZ and was informed that today was Mothers Day. She got a little confused for a while because she was certain she remembered celebrating that day a few weeks ago. I know time flies when you are having fun but that's a tad fast even for her. (lol) Can I just take this opportunity to say how I admire your knowledge and enthusiasm. The same goes for Vicki as well. How did we meet up yesterday? Well you see, had this flippin poster that he had persuaded his sweet little daughter to stencil for him. It was printed on bright pink paper and he seemed very proud of it! Fortunately I managed to stop myself from rolling it up and clouting him with it. There were just the four of us there: , myself, and her husband. It was a very lovely day and personally I found the experience restorative and completely positive. I met for the first time and I felt we liked each other very much and have promised that we will be definitely be meeting each other again. We went to a large pub at lunchtime and chatted away nine to the dozen, not all about medical things, about lots of things. (Though did draw me some very strange diagrams about how he imagined my oesophagus would be looking now after all these years). There was some time between the departures of and 's train and mine, so and I went to visit borough Cathedral. Parts of it are 1000 years old and preparations were taking place for a concert in the evening. Just going back to the pub for a minute: when we had something to eat said that he thought it was good for me to see him and eating a proper meal while I fiddled about with my soup. He said that it gave me the opportunity to see how the future may be. And he was absolutely right. It brought that dream that I have of the romantic candlelight dinner with my lovely husband one step nearer in my head. It makes me smile with pleasure just thinking of that possibility. One day I will sit at this computer and tell you all that last night I achieved that dream and though it may seem a simple thing in the grand scheme of things, to me personally it will be a triumph far greater than an Olympic medal or winning an . Anyway, I just want to send special love to and and say thank you so very much for what you have done for me. Here's to friendship. Love to all from Ann in England xxxxxxx>> Thank you, Ann. Guest guest
Pattie, Thinking of you.... I didn't get the pics of the boys with Petty...the other ones were great...Can't wait until jacob is old enough for Victory Junction... Greetings We went to VJGC last night- What an amazing time. I was able to get Petty to sign a shirt for a friend we met at the family camp who has a brain tumor and has wanted to meet him. What an amazing thing! I also met a lady whose son is going to have hip surgery this summer-- long story short, she told me that the urologist who used to be at Duke and left, is now back! This is the doctor we wanted to see before we ever went to UNC..but since he'd left Duke at the time, we went to UNC when faced with no other choice. We heard so many good things about this doctor! I spent the afternoon receiving faxes and faxing UNC, Duke and WF getting J's records in order. This doctor will look them over and then they will call me back to set up an appointment. This past week ph told me a few times that it hurts when he urinates. He says it hurts toward the end and then he can't go any more-- I am not sure what this is-it is a new symptom. If it continues, I will bring him to the ped. I looked up some stuff on neurogenic bladder and I don't like what I read. too much to digest. I knew that with this problem one always had a chance to develop kidney problems.. I think I was just in denial. It is not good to have residual urine. Anyway, I am working on going to yet another urologist. This will be number 4. The first one left and went to MN and was replaced by the guy who gave J the med he had a psychotic reaction to and never called me back about it! The ped had to cover for him. Then we went to the current guy and at the last appointment he said, " Well, some people just leak urine their entire lives. " I just don't feel like giving up is the right answer-especially after doing more reading and looking at the stuff in the new medical textbook I got (Urinary and fecal incontinence). I do not have copies of J's urology records.so tomorrow I am going to fax requests for myself and then wait for the paperwork to come so I can pay to get them. I only have what the doctors have told me and my notes. I need to have copies. In the very beginning we were told he would likely outgrow this and we believed them-we have so many specialists that we were in denial. just let one thing be " outgrowable " (not a word-but a good Pattieism, huh?) I'm just wiped out and in one of those moods. would like to cure something just once. Ever feel like that? ph complained of knee pain and I completely forgot to look at it before he went to bed. Chris' cousin called with some questions and I told him I would check it out, but forgot. I'll go to take a peek when I head to bed. We never seem to cure anything around here-everything just ends up with slews of doctors' visits and never any answers. SIGH Hope everyone is doing well. Chris' boss' brother came this weekend to tell the family that he had liver cancer and was not going to seek treatment. He ended up having a massive heart attack and Chris' boss' did CPR-he is now at the hospital in a coma. So sad. He is in his early 40s. Guest guest
Hi I was reading and have come up to your post . Yes i know it was a week ago, im just a bit slow!!!! I have a 16 year old girl who has a diagnose of PDD<. Nos. Her teachers call it mild aspergers. She has always been shy, akward never having friends. she will aleast talk, go out in public etc. will answer the phone. Her brother has ADHD and Aspergers (high functioning). and there is no comparsion between the two of them. Girls are not looked at as much, not so much vocal i think.?? i belong to an aspergers group here (Canberra - Australia) and we have 2 girls on the spectrum to about 20? boys. Bronwyn (my daughter), has some friends but still has trouble communicating, and has trouble understanding some situations and reading body lanuage etc. She does not accedpt her diagnosis and fights it all the way, including getting assistance at school, which she is entialled to . We have a points system which allocates how much assistance is given, bronwyn is allocated point 2 a day. My son for example is allocated point 6 a day, because he has more concerns. Bronwyn relates more to younger children than her own peers. i worry equally for bronwyn as i do for andrew (my son). i dont think i will ever stop worrying. anyway nice to meet you.ColleenJenn Kraus <JennK949702@...> wrote: Hi , I just joined as well.. where about in NJ are you? It seems annoying at first, the copycat stuff, but you should take it as a compliment. I have had mostly my internet writings and ideas taken by others, and in the long run, if they think it's so valuable, well, maybe it'll help the entire art. Don't worry about it, or as they say, don't sweat the small stuff. You'll move on with another idea, and they'llbe six to eight months lagging there, too ;-) Heck, I had the emails for this group stolen by someone who started another group, and she had done the same to someone two years before.
