Guest guest
Hello Everyone, I pray this evening finds you all well. Hope none of you were afflected by the terrible floodings. We are in desperate need of rain here and are on water restriction. Everything is dead and burnt. Leaves are falling in August. I know we have discussed this plant in the past but I lost all my files and we have already established that I lost my mind,,umm I mean my memory,,ugh,,forget things! lol Anyway, I was speaking to my ex today and he says that he has a lot of Burdock on his property (hard to believe it is not fried now). He wants to know what we can do with it. I wasn't sure if there was a certain time of year this had to be picked or what. Couldn't remember if you ate it or tinctured it. Hoping for the latter As always I appreciate all your help. To Gloria, you are a good mommy! Oreo is one lucky kitty with all that love and care. I along with everyone has you and him both in thoughts and prayers. Well, I've been eating good when eating. I kept so busy on my feet for 12 hours straight today. My scale says I lost 2lbs and no I will not get back on to see if it changed it's mind Monday was a bad day and I had to admit that I had some serious problems and had to apologize which I am still doing. One day at a time OK..here I go yakking away again.. Have a wonderful night all Hugs, Tone OH and to Carol G. (Hi Carol) I remember when you told me not to worry about the birdies as this time of year they forage for themselves. Well, everything here is dead. Monday I did not tend to them as usual and Dolly my cockateil was screaming. I opened the front door and honestly, there were about 50 birds on the railing, steps, branches...hehe and YES, they wanted me. Have a wonderful night xo "There is a wonderful mythical law of nature that the three things we crave most in life -- happiness, freedom, and peace of mind -- are always attained by giving them to someone else." - Peyton Conway March
Guest guest
Glor, Keep up that good work with him. All sounds good. I wish I could bring Peep to you. Made 3 separate vet appointments and I cannot get him. He is not looking good, acting indifferent towards me which is totally not him and not wanting to eat. Also that gash on his head did something weird to his eye. <sigh> I am still trying. As for the burdock, ex is going by a picture I had sent him so hopefully it really is it. I can never tell the difference of what I am growing and what is the weeds. Have a good night love to you and Oreo Tone I don't know if Oreo sees it that way. ;-). I think he's getting a little tired of Mommy and the syringe. He just hates the red clover and pau d'arco teas which I practically drown him in. But today he seems to be drooling less, his appetite has picked up and doesn't seem quite as miserable. One day at a time.I love burdock! I used to sautee it with carrots and a little tamari. I can't seem to find it any more (or maybe I don't recognize it growing). I made a burdock tincture last year though. Great blood purifier.Gloria
Guest guest
Hi Toni, The stuff in the quotes was from the link...you can google " harvest burdock " and see if there is something that makes more sense....sorry... uh-oh...you're really gonna have fun with the TCM links. Kit > Hi Kit, > > I will pray for things there that you are not in any danger and will be safe. > Thankyou for the info on the burdock. I have absolutely no clue as to what you said here...lol > I'm guessing that the burdock that now has flowers will then turn into burdock with flowered burrs? hehe > OK so this is not the time then? I'll check out the link you sent. Thankyou so much for your help. I will let ex eat it first...hehe > > Tone
