wait till the flower is dead and starting to dry.... I have tons coming up this year from last years seeds... I let them be and forgot to cut off the dead ends.. SV <shavig@...> wrote:

I have a few coneflowers growing. Not enough to do anything with, but I would like to harvest the seeds. Do I wait until the flower is dead and dried or do I pick it now while it still looks like a healthy flower and dry it and then harvest the seeds?

I did not even plant these. The last time I had any ech planted there was more than 5 years ago! I wonder where they've been or maybe they were short and hidden under the poppies. Hm......
