Look in the yellow pages for dance schools and give them a call about where to buy dance shoes.I think they are called jazz dance shoes. My neighbor used to do that sort of dance and her shoes were like butter, but had a substantial sole on them. My friend gets dance shoes from a dance shoe company online. The have special pad bottoms that allow you to turn and pivot easily. She is away now, and I cannot ask, but I am sure you can find them online.
