Guest guest
, I found this reply about the hydrocortisone from my doctor. It's the same thing that goes for the progesterone.... No. It will not make the candida worse. The listed “side effects†occur at supraphysiologic (more than the body should normally make on it’s own) doses of hydrocortisone—that would be a dose of over 20mg daily of the hydrocortisone. The effects of low cortisol also include anxiety, irritability, mood swings, brain fog, achiness, poor immune function, etc. Your levels were low (except for first am level), so we are supplementing at a dose to bring you closer to the middle of the normal range, not to over-replace. That’s the difference! Hang in there!  Milena ________________________________ From: Milena Muskin <milena.muskin@...> candidiasis Sent: Thu, May 5, 2011 1:16:01 PM Subject: Re: Re: I have been dealing with infertility and miscarriages for many years. , You know I was worried about that very same thing, but I talked to my doctor about it. When you are using a compounded bioidentical cream and its being used because your doctor actually knows your levels are low then it shouldn't cause any problems with the candida. This is much similar to the use of hydrocortisone. Hydrocortisone will feed candida if you are using it and not actually deficient in levels. I have had my levels done and I take it every day. Without it I cannot handle any stress and my allergies are SO much worse. I'm sure you're like me in that you know when you put something in your body whether it is causing a negative reaction. I only get positive benefits from both of these hormones. Research it more. ... I just wanted to tell you what my naturopath/MD had to say and what my personal experiences were. It maybe a good idea to call a compounding pharmacy and ask the pharmacist. Sometimes they now more about the possible side effects and interactions than the doctors. I stopped taking my natural progesterone and my estrogen patch that my doctor gave me, because I was afraid that I was going to add to my already overwhelming Candida problem.
