Clove oil extract or essential oil?

cited a study of the effectiveness of clove oil to fight candida. When I

go to buy I see essential oil listed as not to be taken internally and the

alternative is clove oil extract. Does that mean I need to opt for the clove oil

extract which I guess is far less pure? Thanks Doug
